Should I put a urinal in the new bathroom?

We are renovating the basement into a large playroom and 2 new bedrooms for our boys.  It will also have a bathroom for them and DS1 suggested that we put a urinal in the new bathroom.  Hmmmm anyone ever heard of one of these in a house?  I've seen the little plastic one you can get for potty training.  Would they be cleaner and hit the mark better with a urinal?  We keep saying this is going to be the Boy Zone.  Maybe that makes sense?

 Oh I soooo would!! (with a toilet too, of course)... but I think it's great idea. 

I want to put one in the garage, so the boys can pee (and DH, too) without having to drag all the dirt inside.  

just remember you will have to put a toilet in there too for ummm...# 2... cuz boys and girls do THAT the same (sitting down lol)

 Oh yeah they will need a toilet as well.  But heck if there's both then 2 boys can pee at the same time and eliminate the impulse to use the sink!  Or right outside the door.  Grrrrr..... boys!  

i think i would, it would be so much easier to keep the bathroom clean. nasty ol' boys. i think i would have to strangle my boys if i caught them peeing in the sink.

 I'm SO glad to see someone else is considering this...we are going to be adding/redoing a bathroom downtsairs (one is down there but its a really weird/creepy one with no door and toilet like...in themiddle of everything...ODD!) and my husband and Iare highly considering getting one put down there...ALL Boys here and 2 bedrooms downstairs and with the amount of pee that ends up on the floor upstairs ugh...I think it might be a great investment :)  They are down more than they are up so it makes sense for us to put one down there rather than up stairs...also wondering if anyone has put one in their house and if it works better...boys are messy when it comes to the bathroom :)

 My Home Depot doesn't carry any but they have 3 pages of them online.  Not too spendy either.  Hmmm now which to choose.  I think I'm gonna leave this up to DH.  No first hand experience here.

LOL, love it. I think this is a good idea. I could use a urinal in this house!

My cousin has one in the house he built himself. I really don't know if it's cleaner or not?

My neighbour's built a house a few years ago...they have two boys who were young teens at the time that they buit it...their new house has 3 bathrooms in I think...the one bathroom, its kind of the "wash up before you go in the rest of the house bathroom", is used mostly by the "boys" in the house and they put a urinal in there...the wife loves it!!!  Thats the bathroom the boys use all the time...I say go for it!!!  If I had the room I would definately do it!! 

YES! YES! YES! YES! I would LOVE that in one my bathrooms.  GO FOR IT!
