Hi ladies,

Well I have started suffering pretty badly from morning sickness... well in my case its afternoon and evening sickness. I never had m/s with either of my boys so this is new to me. Any home remedies or advice on how to ease it? I heard a rumour once that ginger biscuits or ginger beer helps??? Thanks in advance Envy

PS. I dont want to get my hopes up but I keep thinking oooohhhh please be a good sign that this bean might be a girly girl!!! Anyone else experience more m/s with girls than boys?Stick out tongue

Our symptoms sound so similar, it is uncanny! I also feel worst in the afternoon and evening. In fact, yesterday I lay down at 7 p.m. because I felt so nauseous and promptly fell asleep with my youngest son!  I don't have to throw up, just feel queasy and nauseous. It is worst when I have just eaten something, which is the total opposite of my previous two pregnancies, when I always felt sick when my blood sugar was low and I constantly had to eat to feel better. I have noticed that it gets worse when I eat artificial stuff like canned soup or basically all the high-salt stuff that I used to avoid during the ig diet. I think eating small amounts helps, as well as staying with natural ingredients and healthy food. Warm teas like peppermint tea also help me a little. For some people, a homeopathic remedy called nux vomica also counters some of the morning sickness. You have to experiment a little.

As far as this being a girl sign - of course I am hopeful, too, because I am experiencing the opposite of my previous pregnancies, but to be honest, it does not convince me yet. My sister-in-law had the most awful morning sickness for nine months in her second pregnancy and she has two boys!

Cheers,
Viv

I had really bad all day sickness with both my boys I lost 10kg with both of them the first was the worst! With my 1st hard boiled lollies seemed to help I would suck them when I felt I was going to be physicaly sick with my son number 2 I ate green apples! I later herd they are good for upset tummy's as well! Also take little sips of ice cold water all day long , that helps also. I hope you feel beter soon and I hope it is your girl!

I have been a bit queasy in the mornings, although some days I feel completely fine. These fluctuating symptoms are driving me nuts! Yesterday, I was so nauseous and yucky feeling all morning, then today I almost forgot I was preggo, no symptoms all day. I am just holding my breath that I will see a strong heartbeat on Monday. With my DS my symptoms were fairly mild but consistent. I didn't get any morning sickness until week 8 and then it wasn't too bad, I never actually got sick just felt queasy alot on an empty stomach. Citrus really helped me, oranges and lemon popsicles were the best. Hope you ladies are hanging in there! We have a long road ahead of us still!!!

I almost barfed in the car today and I NEVER had MS with DS.  This one definitely feels like there are strong hormones so I am thinking girl or twins (the latter I am NOT wishing for, btw).  Anyway I hope it amounts to my girly girl bc it would be worth it!

I'm taking GNC ultra mega multivitamins which has a higher amount of b6 and b12 in it.  it had taken my sickness away almost immediately but now that I am getting further along its coming back... but you could try it!!

also, almonds, eating and energy drinks seem to help.  oh and for my last 2 I sipped rootbeer in the morning and that helped greatly.

Keep eating crackers! I had a girl and had mild morning sickness, most people iknow who have had boys have had it realy really bad, i.e not been able to eat a thing or drink without throwing up. I dont think its easy to tell gender, but hope your bean is pink x
