80% Effaced and 3 CM Dilated!

So today at my 37 week appt., they checked me and I am 80% effaced and 3 CM dilated. I know you can stay like this for weeks, but I can't help but get excited that it might be soon! She said baby is low, low, low!

Anyone have any stories?

 I am excited too, we are finally getting there. Baby and I are doing good, he does not need anything and he won't be spending any time in the NICU so that is great. We get to go home tomorrow so that's good.

 Sounds close to me! With ds2 I was 2cm/75%/0 station at 34 weeks, then at my appt at 36+4 I was 3cm/completely effaced/+1 station...and I went into labor a few hours after that appt.

Im off to the dr at 3:15 so will update, hoping shes engaged if not we shall have a chat when I get home... lol

With DS #2 I was dilated to a three at 34 weeks, and then a four at 36 weeks. Walked around with him practically falling out for two more weeks when my water broke due to an amnio to check for lung maturity. With DS #1 I was dilated to a 3+ for four weeks, and went a week overdue. It sucked! I swear I was in early labor for a month. I went into the hospital three times because of strong contractions and just kept getting sent home. I don't think I'm going to let them check me with this baby. I just get all excited for nothing!

With my first son I was 3 cm dilated around 38 week and deliver 2 days before EDD. With second son I was 3 cm dilated in 34 weeks, than 4 cm dilated in 35 weeks than from 35 to 36 week I had VERY strong contractions, I couldn't walk EVERY night every 5 min -not during the day though and they kept sending me home 2 days before of 36th week I went to hospital and was 7 cm dilated and they SENT ME HOME. The next night I went to the hospital with contractions so painful I thought I will die and they said that I'm 9 cm and it's too late for epidural..... I was pissed I was "in labour " for a week and than had delivery without any pain medication. I cried and yelled and cursed and in one point I said that I'm going home :( I pray it will not be like it this time around...
