TTC a girl and thinking of using preseed..

I know it's a big no-no, but I really want to get pregnant and all the success stories make me REALLY want to use it. I've looked around online and it doesn't seem like it produces more boys than girls. It seems pretty even. I think if I use it and continue to do everything else supps, timing, ions, and other things to keep ph low it will be okay. Anyone conceive a girl with preseed? I am on my 8th month ttc and feel like it will never happen if I don't do something.

 I'm just curious if you have thought of Sylk? I got a bfp both of the months that I used it and it sways girl because of the low pH? Preseed was how I got my ds #2.

 I just looked it up and it says not to use when ttc... but I guess it didn't hurt your chances of getting pregnant. How much did you use and did you use it everytime you bd'ed?  Thanks!

I still can't decide what to do. I want to be pregnant but I would like a girl too- ugh, it's so conflicting! What would be worse??... using preseed but make sure not to have an orgasm (which really isn't hard for me LOL!) OR not using preseed and just try to get into it so I have plenty of my own "fluids". I'm still going to do a cut-off so I would have time before ovulation to get my ph back down. I just don't think I'm going to get pregnant doing it like I am. I need help deciding what to do. I already ordered some opk's from a seller on ebay who sells preseed and I if I'm going to get the preseed, I want to do it at the same time so I can combine the shipping cost.

Preseed has a high PH so sways boy in theory.

If you really need a lube then sylk or rephresh are better options.

And yes, sadly the big O raises PH too

What about canola oil for lube.  I read that it will help you get pg and it dosn't sway boy or girl.

Well I ordered the pre-seed but still not sure about using it. I'm just so wishy washy. I really want to get pregnant like yesterday! I don't know if I can take another month of BFN's and stupid AF showing up. Maybe we'll just use canola and see what happens. I really don't have a dryness problem anyway.. but just wanted to use lube to help me get pregnant.  I did up my soy dose so maybe that will help me conceive. Thanks for the advice everyone.:)

canola will help you get pg just as much as preseed will but canola doesnt sway boy

Lube isn't really going to help you conceive anyway though darling... it's more just to help BDing easier if you aren't very moist.

Just saw an interesting article about Preseed on this website, which after reading it my suggestion is if you don't need it- don't use it.

It is basically hawking Preseed on every webpage. But it does give some more very interesting information (ph, etc) on many of the lube's we all talk about including replens and sylk. In fact someone has probably already discovered this- that's the way around here- but I found it on my own so I'll share it with ya'll just in case!

Instead you should either try sylk or canola oill....if you really want to get preggers fast, I would use canola oil and put in a diva cut (without the lime mixture) so that the sperm can get to the egg faster....

I would even bd through O before I would use preseed...with this you are more likely to get pregnant...but I would try theh canola oil and diva cup first....if still no luck I would bd right through O.

There is no magic about preseed hun...but it does heavily sway boy

I conceived all three girls while using preseed, I do agree with the PP's it does sway boy just not enough for me to get one This is just my personal experience.

 Lovemylandon... that's good to hear about Sylk.  Unfortunately I've used it the last two months with no BFP.  The last time we bd before O, I inserted 2 ml next to my cervix.. that was probably a bad idea.  Too much.  I'll keep in mind your experience though and keep using it, just not that much!  It's a great lube.. and it's one of the easiest sways to do.

Okay I still REALLY want to use it. I feel like it would be ticket to getting pregnant AND that it wouldn't necessarily give me a boy but more make it a 50/50 chance. But then in the back of my mind I'm thinking it would be nice to have a girl and I don't want to mess that up. Ugh.. it's so confusing. I'll just go ahead and plan on not using it, but if I get desperate I might. The thought of spending $16.50 on something I'm not going to use bugs me. I know it's silly. At least I got 2 pregnancy tests with it (even though they are just the cheap ones) I'll pretend they are FRER's. LOL!

What other swaying things are you doing that could be preventing getting preggo? You might consider dropping lime douche if you are doing that. What is your and dh's pH? is it too low? Are you taking your supps past ov? Are you using a particular method such as withdrawal or hole-in-condom which could be affecting your success?
