Vaginal Reading ?

 I am doing at home insemination with sperm from a friend. He is shipping with the biotranz kit which chills the sperm to 5 degrees celcius. It has to be inseminated as soon as you receive next day fedex. The manual for the ovacue says to wait 8 hours after sex to do a vaginal reading. The insemination would be the same as sex. I usually do my vaginal reading at 7pm. I live in a small town so cannot receive fedex before 3:30pm. So if I insem around 4pm my question is should I do my vaginal reading before I insem? I know it says to do it within a 2 hour window so I could wait until 9pm but that is only 5 hours after insem. Which do you think I should do before insem or wait until 9pm?
