She only cries during the day really and she is consoleable, but wants to constantly be bounced or held and rocked with her pacifier in her mouth. What are some things that you did if you had a colicy baby?

the doctor says I should let her cry it out if nothing else is wrong and not to let her cry for more than an hour at a time. What are your thoughts on this? I don't think I could let her cry for longer than 15/20 minutes at once honestly. But I am probably going to give this a try because everytime she cries right now I go straight to her and she's used to me doing whatever it takes to quiet her.

White noise, TV static, Baby Bliss Gripe water (worked wonders), Heartbeat bear, Swaddle, Belly massage clockwise motion, chamomile tea you would have to lookup I forget the exact amount, Water water bottle on tummy. When Alana had colic we would rotate these things around they all helped. Just know in time it will pass, I know it's so hard when they are fussy and you can't sooth them ((HUGS))

((hugs)) sorry you're going through this.  I personally think she's too young to CIO for an hour and I don't think you can spoil a baby so young.  I think you're doing the right thing by responding to her needs.  I know it is SO hard but it will get better soon.  Do you have a sling or wrap?  I've tried a lot of them and my favorites are the Moby wrap and the Peanut Shell Amy Coe sling from Babies r us.

I totally agree, I wouldn't let her cry it out either.  It's one thing if you need a break, or need to get something done.  Then it's ok to put her down for a few minutes... but an hour seems like a lot, IMO.

i think colic is a great possibility but crying it out wont help the best thing youcan do is cater to her do whatever calms her until its over i had to do this with peyton and honestly in the end listening to her cry was so much worse than bouncing her in my arms for 5 hours a day :) just keep in mind it will be over soon and you will find something that helps
