Hello ladies,
I have been open about our situation and the fact that due to my husband's medication he has a lower spermcount. He has been taking several vitamins and minerals to improve it and it indeed did.
Right now we are thinking about going on board with the Dutch laidy who does the diet and timing method for people wantig a boy or a girl and she has quite a high percentage of succes (85-90%). She has been doing this for ten years. The women will be on the diet. Now I've read that when a men takes all these vitamins and minerals hís testosterone raises, probably the reason why the sperm gets better. Men with high tetosterone seem to be more likely to produce more sons. I don't want to be on a very restricted diet and have sex on the clock when it is useless because due to my husband's better spermcount and high testosterone we will end up with another boy anyway. Does anyone know what I mean?
I thought about it like this. According to the WHO a sperm sample has to be at least 2 ML, and at least 20 MLN spermcells per ML with at least 25% of them progressive motility, this means that a sample needs to contain at least 10 MLN progressive motile spermcells per sample. Does this make any sence?
Before my husband took al the vitamins and minerals he had these results: (just took the last SA) 6,5 ML, 61 MLN per ML (so a total of almost 400 MLN sperm cells in the sample), only 15% motile. His medication only effects the motility, and because the count is still high there were 59.5 MLN progressive motile sperm in this sample. This is much more then the required 10 MLN. So even with this count he should be able to get me pregnant naturally. After the vitamins and minerals the motility has gone from 15% to 25% and the normoform from 10% to 20%.
I'm thinking of dropping the vitamins and minerals, see if he can get get me pregnant without them. I've seen worse SA here and people just getting pregnant despite it. I'm affraid the vitamins and minerals will effect the outcome of the diet and timing negative. Does this make any sence?
Any input will be greatly appreciated!
