I know I just had Adalyn a mere 8 days ago, but I'm feeling like all I do ALL day long is breastfeed and pump and look frumpy and smelly. It's a little depressing. I have yet to get out on my own with the two kids yet and I feel like I always have so much to do at the house plus I don't really have any clothes that fit right now until I lose more baby weight.

Feeling this way gives me the baby blues a little bit and I HATE the baby blues.

I don't know what I am asking here, just some encouragement and positiveness I guess. Thanks :-)

I felt that way with each of my kids.  I know it can be an awful feeling...Like you're trapped in a way.  If you're not to sore.......go for a small walk around where you live....the fresh air doe's wonders.  Do you have family close?  If so maybe go to their house for a few hrs....#1 they will help with the kids and you can relax a little...#2 You are getting away from your house.  Sorry you are feeling this way Hun.  ((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))

God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will

peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Going from 1 child to two was the hardest transition I have made. Take it easy on yourself! I was so exhausted for probably the first 6 months that I would literally forget what I was doing while in the middle of doing something. It will get better.

The baby weight will come off gradually. If you are nursing, you need to rest, don't worry too much about clothes fitting for awhile. It took me a year with each of mine before I was back to pre pregnancy size and this was with lots of work. You do need that bit of tummy until you are finished with nursing!

If it makes you feel better try and go out with a female friend or relative and buy some clothes that fit you now, just don't spend a ton on them. Or, if you plan on having a third child someday, go ahead and spend because you will get to use them again (this is what I did anyway).

Once you have caught up on sleep (a bit) and have a routine going it wil be easier to take them both out. It really did take me a couple weeks to get the hang of it (getting them ready & OUT at the same time was the hardest part), but with DS3 it was old hat--no problem--from the start!

Take care Hearts

I know I am going to feel like this too when Kai comes. I work from home so I am already here all the time and this time around taking off time from work doesn't sound as exciting. With DS#1 I was just so glad to be at home and I didn't mind at all if I never left the house. This time I am going to go stir crazy and feel trapped. At least the holidays are coming up so maybe you can start planning or doing something to take your mind off of being stuck in the house.

I know how it feels havign the extra weight but you need it and you need to give yourself a break as your baby is brand new. Only 8 days ago you were pregnant. When your DH is home for the day can you go out for lunch somewhere. There is nothing like strangers making admiring comments about your new baby to make you feel special. There is nothing quite like getting out of the house and having a treat to put it all into perspective, too! I hope you find your smile soon.

Baby Boy and Baby Girl and no longer hoping but have a full-term Baby Girl

Aaaww I know I am going to feel like that too, and in the beginning of winter!! I remember the first time I got out of the house after having Sabrina and it was very surreal and cloudy in a way... very weird... We turn into this sort of "boob person" dealing with diapers, baths all day and when you put sleepless nights on top of that - it can drive anybody crazy! So just take it easy for now, don't look too much in the mirror, enjoy your precious baby girl, stay in touch with us and pretty soon you will get back to your normal life. One day at a time Flower

Thanks ladies, I do have family close by but everybody works during the day. My mom works from home so I can go see her when she's not so busy. I just need to get a good routine down and it's soooo hard while Breastfeeding. It has become my life for now and I don't really know how much I like it currently. I like the freedom that formula provides but I love being able to provide my baby with her nutrients...so I'm in a bind.

It gets easier after the 4 month mark. For some reason with my first it was hard (I was always very tired) up until that point and then it got to be SO easy. I think it was like that with DS2 as well. With DS3 I am still nursing and he's 14 months, everything was easier the 3rd time around. Once your body and baby settle in to a routine it will become second nature.
