Pink-Is-A-Must!:Even if it continues until they are much older, they will break the habit eventually.....
...Not neccesarily... My sister is 21 years old and still sucks her thumb while twirling her hair. Nothing like walking to a frontroom to having her curled up doing it, annoys the crap out of me, lol...
I don't know what I'll do if I end up having a determined thumb sucker.
I won't like it a single bit, but that's for my kids. I have no problem with other's childrens having it if it works for them. Doesn't work for me though, because I get this imagine of my sister in my head and my nerves start jumping..
lol.
No help here- I hope you figure something out though CC. I can feel your pain LOL!
When my daughter trys sucking on her fingers I always pull them out and tell her no, sometimes hand her a binky. If she continues to try, I continue to take them out with a stern "no, fingers don't go in mouth, yuck" and she'll usually give up and go do something else...but she's older. As a baby it just took me taking her fingers/hand away from her mouth and offering a binky and she didn't try again.
