I'm sure that you are ready to pop!  Those last couple weeks are horrible on trying to get around, going to the rr all the time, etc.  Hope all goes well with your delivery! Keep us posted!  !

Hi everyone, tonight we had a practice su attempt after finally making our incubator and I'm so disappointed as the egg whites sank feel really frustrated as planning our attempt in a few weeks. I have read in the faq you have to make a sugar solution, has anyone done this?

I tried it but they burnt out at the recomnded concentration. Any weaker concentrations and it started to sink again

ok some questions

Who was it that was goign to experment with swim up with low pH to see if it attracts the x sperm?  how did that experment go?

what if to help the ew float for ttc a girl you mix the semen with sylk and for ttc a boy you mix it with pre-seed (or its walmart equilivant).  Then put the ew on top

Why does the list on the first page have SO MANY people trying egs su/msu but none of them post?  are they all still trying this way?

Purple dream, sorry I am just now noticing my name here. I gave up on MSU/TBM after May and went natural with swaying factors in June and July and got BFP in July. DH wasn't very keen on EGS, he was OK with the diet, supplements, minerals, ions and EWs but not TBM or MSU.

I think Onedream is going natural too and so is Wantsomeblue.

Tamara you say mix the semen with sylk, what is this and what do you mean I thought you had to make the sugar mix? Is is safe to mix things in, worried it affects the sperm? Really need help please.

Sorry a few more questions Tamara, the ph of the egg white I used was 9.2 is this ok? Also do you have to mix up the egg white with a fork to kind of make it lighter?

Also do any of you girls trying this have any ideas are any of you having any sucess?

Sissy4gabbie - I have been looking at all your posts on here its such a help but now I am struggling with my egg whites sinking, did you mix them before using them? Asts sounds like you had no probs getting them to float? Any help would be really appreciated Thanks.

Wow Rebirtha, i can't beleive you're only a week away!!! thats so exciting!! Tamara Happy Birthday to be to your DS! I bet you can't wait to celebrate. Lola- Yes i'm still gooing to be ttc during the winter months- i'll just make sure DH warms his bits up lots! lol! I just use my air purifier and salt rock lamps to get the neg ions so not too worried if i end up Ovulating in a full moon, although i was spot on with the new moon so it makes it even more annoying that my cycle has gone wacky!  xx

 Just a thought, if we are doing su it wont matter if its winter anyway will it as the sperm will cool down when in the tt, then will heat up in the incubator so do you still bother getting dh to have a hot bath before giving his sample and wearing pants to bed etc?

 Is everyone doing the su once a month?  Can you do it more than once a month?  Do most people give up because it takes too long?  Sorry I'm asking so many q's but we want to start ttc this month and I'm still not sure if I want to do just diet and supps and ions or su...Thanks!  Oh...also I saw someone used the egg beaters egg whites because it's already just egg whites and it's already pasturized...that's okay right?  

Turtles~ I think that everyone is doing something different.  Some do just O+12 strictly, while others do a cut-off plus the O+12, and some are doing straight through O.  All of my ds were conceived with 1 shot deals so we're going thru O.  On the day of O, I try to get close as possible to O+12 and not right at O time. 

I think that it can take awhile to get pg this way.  I think that it is definitely possible to take longer getting pg because you reducing the amount of swimmers put up there.  Does that make sense? 

Someone did use egg beater whites but many found that the pH wasn't right.  If you want to go that way, just double check the pH.  I had a really difficult time getting the ew to float using the egg beater whites.  I had a lot more luck with the P eggs (I do P them myself though).

That is exactly what I thought but I wasn't sure...didn't want to be rude either.  Just tell me what to change and will gladly take care of it.  At the time that I made the post, I didn't have the time to research who was all doing what. 3 boys running around, 2 in soccer, the 2yr old running around, etc. Kwim? 

Maybe its time for a new role call.  just delte everyont ttc and start over.  leave the bfp attempts if they are posted though

this is just me thinking out lound trying to make things easier.  there is a post about sylk in the egs forum
