I am not planning on concieving for a while, but curiosity has gotten the better of me and I researched the moon phases from my previous conceptions.  I have 3 boys and none were conceived during the New Moon.  I also calculated my ovulation dates for the next year, approximately and I will not ovulate during a New Moon EVER!  So how important do you think the moon phases are and this also brings me to my next question, can I change my cycle?  The only thing I can think of is to go on birth control and then quit after a couple of months to pick when I want my period to start, but even then, my body may revolt and go back to the old timing!!!  What do you all think?

I may be the odd one out, but I do not really believe in the importance of the moon phases, or if they do have any importance, that it is very small in the general perspective of things. My first son was conceived during a full moon, but the second was conceived during a new moon, so it can really go both ways. I am sure there are a lot of believers here, though, who can tell you more!

You could always take vitex, it makes your cycles longer, though it is not really necessary in a healthy cycle.

Cheers,
Viv

they key to swaying is diet and the other sway factors.  if you do diet right the the rest should be easier.  moon is ions and that is 1/7th of the sway.  I myself wanted to give it 100% so I did everything I could

Tamara, I also want to do everything I can 100%...but I think I will be O'ing during the full moon for a very long time.  I am not willing to go on BCP's or take anything to alter my cycles.  Soooo, there really isn't much I can do about that, just like the first poster was saying.  I'm in the same boat.  I am waiting to ttc until May, as you know, because it will be warmer then, but still I probably will O right on the full moon.

So, I think I'm just going to go for it.

Does it make a difference that I might be O'ing right on the full moon...does it have any more of an effect?

Thanks!
