I really need to start coming on here more often as I want to start trying things out from January, I'm definetly not going high tech now, me and dh have spoke about it over the last couple of months and he is just not comfortable with it at all, which is fine by me, we need to do what we both feel comfortable with, so we are back to our plan 1 - egs, supps for us both, me girl diet, and him a slight girl diet. x

Candy Floss - Congratulations on your BFP!

Hi girls, I have been lurking since July time when I did post a few times.  But now ... it's time to start the diet.  That along with trying to accurately pin point ovulation is really putting me off starting.  This will be my (hopefully) third  but final child.  I have just turned 34 and have 2 wonderful ds's nearly 6 and 2 & a half.

I'v still to buy my digital ph tester etc, but I really need to get my head round feeding me and dh for the next 6 weeks before we even start trying.  I'm hoping to get a laptop so that I can spend all night on the web in comfort lol, getting my plan of action organised and would appreciate any body who is willing to sumarise what they have learned on their journey so far?!?

The caffine issue has not been researched but I'd love to ask this question ... those with sons only, does one or other of you drink a lot of coffee??  The reason I'm asking is my dh works shifts and relies on coffee, has done since he was a teenager. He has another son who is 13 and our 2 boys.  His parents drink a lot of coffee and had 3 sons.  His 2 brothers don't and one has 3 girls, the other 1 little girl.  So I was thinking that this could be one of our main issues.  Luckily he is on board with this process (so far anyway lol) and is willing to go without caffine in general if he can stay awake and keep his job.  Does this ring true to anyone else.  Or does it simply no apply in your situation.  I'd love to hear all answers ...

I saw the receipes but how is everyone else managing to be inventive to get through weeks of this without passing out with hunger.  I could do with losing a bit of weight but I so hate being hungry!!

 Thanks girls! I can hardly believe it to be honest. I had the cycle from hell and last cycle my LP was only 8 days, so i didn't think i stood a chance! Had another line today though, so i guess i can believe it :)

Hi 'depserate for a daughter' - best of luck with everything. My Dh is a big coffee drinker too normally, but i got him to cut out coffee in the hours before we bd this time, and last time when i got my dd.

 Hi Desperate for a dd, I'm in the same position as you. But with DS2 I did the diet and shettles timing method, unfortunately it didnt work for me. The coffee question - with DS1 we never drank coffee as we didnt really like it, but drank prob a couple of cups of tea per day, since ds1 for some reason we started drinking coffee, but I stopped for the diet method. So it doesnt really do much for us. DH didnt do the diet at all though. I found it so difficult and am not looking forward to going back on it. I'm also veggie and dont eat fish. I dont think I will be able to get DH to go on it though!

This time round we are going to do TBM/SU so far all I have done is ordered my digital ph tester.

I am having so much trouble with doing my temps in the morning though, partly because I forget, plus I dont sleep well at the moment. Also DS2 is teething! How does everyone else get on with temping in the mornings?

I think I am going to find it so hard to pinpoint my O so I can do 0+12 any tips?

Welcome desperate for a daughter! I am not doing the diet - just trying to cut down on potatoes, tomatoes and red meat. I am doing weight watchers so I am more focused on that diet. I don't drink coffee but have always had lots of tea. DH drinks coffee but not to excess. I am cutting down on the tea - but its hard! I am drinking redbush tea as recomended by threelittle men HTH!

 We can drink peppermint tea too, I'm sure I read somewhere on ig that you can have 3 cups per day - is this correct or can you have as much as you like?
