So im 34 +1 and I am in agony at night. I can't seem to get in the right position and I have a pregnancy pillow that is wonderful except every night latley I will get shooting pain in my lower pelvis and I cant even move. Has this happened to anyone else carrying twins. My other two pregnancys I never had this pain. Also my legs.....oh my legs are burning and I can hardly life myself up. I have BH all day everyday and im worried I wont know when the real ones start becasuse these can be pretty painful. Im sorry for all the complaining I just wanted to know if anyone had/having these same symptoms and what they did about them. I can't imagine another 3 weeks with this!

Thank you so much, it felt nice to vent. I know once the girls come I will be just as sleepless, but I will also have them in my arms, so it makes it so much better !!! Thanks for the hugs

my brothers friend had a set of twins in December and she went thru the same thing, The doctor told her it most likely was sciatica from the pressure on the nerves in the lower back and pelvis. He was able to give her something for it. Ask your doctor!!

Hey

I'm sorry you are going through this right now.  I remember feeling like I couldn't do it anymore.  Just take it day by day.  The pain in the pelvis is your joints loosening, even more with twins as the bones then start to seperate.  I forget what it is called but it is very painful.  Mention it to your Dr.  I know it is hard to imagine how you can make it any longer but you can do it!!  The longer those girls stay in there the better.  All the pain goes away as soon as you deliver!!  I hope the time passes quickly for you!

Thank you so much. I will mention it to my Dr. It seems to be worse when I am lying down at night. Its like I can't move. I am so glad to know there is light at the end of the tunnel and I am trying to hang in there as long as possible. Thank you so much for your support!

Yes that is how I felt.  The longer I laid down for the worse it was, so it was the worst at night. You're in the home stretch and it is tough!!  I wish you all the best.

Ugh those last few weeks are awful!  I started taking tylenol and Unisom to get some sleep.  My OB gave me ambien when I was on hospital bedrest.  Helped a lot!  I also started taking it really easy, basically bedrest on the couch most of the day.  It wasn't until I was hospitalized for pre-eclampsia that I realized how much better I felt once I really let myself take it easy.  I also took a bath every night before bed and got weekly massages.  Carrying twins is a huge stress on your body.  You deserve some pampering.

I'm not far behind you so I'm TOTALLY going through the same thing!  I don't have a solution yet, though - just trying to tough it out.  As for the contractions, make sure you are counting them.  If you have more than 4 an hour lay down and drink a bunch of water, and if you still have more than 4 contractions in an hour get yourself to L&D.  You can make it!  Soon the babies will be here and this misery will be a distant memory!

I would get BH contrax every night like clockwork around 9pm.  I'd lay on my left side, grab a big glass of water, a watch, pen and paper and start to track them.  I was supposed to call my OB if I had more than 4 an hour.  I'd always get soooooo close but never quite there.  Ugh no fun.  It will be over soon!

Big hugs!!! Sounds to me like your suffering a touch of SPD (pelvis ligaments loosening as pp mentioned). You can get help for it such as a pregnancy belt etc and could try physio....def mention to doctor though. Not to put fear into you, but it doesnt necessarily disappear straight after delivery if it is this.....can continue for sometime so you need to get it checked out!!! As for the BH, mine went crazy in the last few weeks and were very very uncomfortable......however, contractions felt completely different so I knew difference! Dont worry, you wont have much longer til your girls are in your arms....then the fun really starts lol xxxx
