Kiki Jane - I started on 10 units of Lupron, but when down to 5 when I started stims. Did you find your dosage? lol. Hope all went well

I had an ultrasound and bloodtest today, I'm on day 4 of stims. My lining hasnt thickened at all, but thats to be expected because I'm still on the tail end of my period. I have a few follies coming along on both sides which is good - they are still small but its early days..

My E2 count was 319, which I was worried was a bit low, but I've done some reading and apparently dr's want you around 300-500 on Day 5, so 319 on Day 4 seems fine!!

I feel so much better now I've processed my results, its amazing how much tension I hold over the results of a little blood test and ultrasound!!

Thanks for your concern on the Lupron!  I called the Doc's office and they called me back within an hour.  20 units.....high???  Seems high to me, but I am kinda old

Lol, nah it doesnt seem high to me, just a slightly different protocol..

I agree, it does seem more real now so many of us are injecting and doing tests... here we are in October!! Its our month!!

After 4 days of stims my E2 was 1173....yikes!! I had 13 follies just on one side(probably the same on the other). My RE is lowering my gonal-f to 150 tonight and 75 for tomorrow. I am just trying to hold on to hope that this cycle has a chance. I can relate to the tension when it comes to the blood test results and U/S. Especially, since the lab didn't run mine yesterday and it just was run this morning. I am glad there are so many of us cycling this month-it is nice to have the support. Hugs!

Hi girls!

Well, I'm officially stimming now!  It's really happening.  I had my ultrasound today and blood draw and all is well.  The doctor counted 9 pre-follicles, which I guess means "potentials" and we are stimulating them to see what happens.  I started my first Lupron shot tonight and it wasn't bad...the needle is very small - thank goodness.  i start a bunch of others in addition to the Lupron tomorrow. 

As for my schedule, I have two ultrasounds scheduled in the next 10 days, and two blood draws.  Then, if all goes as planned, I will go in for ER on the 14th...and then, hopefully we will get lots of them to PGD and I am scheduled for ET on the 19th, and then three days of bed rest after that.  So, it should be an interesting and exciting month.  I feel nervous and excited at the same time! 

On a side note, I caught a glimpse of the progesterone needle today while the nurse was going through my shots with me.  YIKES!  That needle looks huge!  I already feel nervous about it and i'm not even there yet.  For those who have been there, does it really hurt?  Did your DH do it, or did you actually give it to yourself?  Does it get easier after the first couple...I hope so.  I would love a little reassurance that I can do that part because that is the only part of this that freaks me out a bit!

Is that standard protocol?  Just wondering how I could fit 3 days of bed rest into my schedule!!!

BTW I have seen the progesterone needles as well. Terrifying I know.

Do any of the HRC girls know if its standard practice to inject the progesterone, rather than use the supp. at HRC?

And when do we start the progesterone... immediately after the ET?

Hi girls! I went in for an U/S today and was able to see Dr. P. He is so good about taking time to explain things-I always feel at ease after speaking with him. It looks like my ER date may be moved up a day. I go back for another U/S tomorrow to confirm. I am officially off of gonal-f-I was over stimming a bit. I will keep you all posted. Looking forward to hearing any updates that you have too!
