My house is is never clean ...My girls make so much mess and its hard to keep it clean for a couple of hours...I get so fustrated with having to pick up after them and now that i am pg and feel like CRAP its even harder to keep a majority of the house tidy...not even my poor room gets attention...PLUS DH doesnt really help either since he works to bring the money in
How do you all keep your house clean??

I clean regularly. Like in each room I have windex and paper towel lol... So the bathroom -while the water is getting hot for my bath and filling up the tub I clean toilet and sink and mirror. Than I take the bath and after the water is gone I clean the tub, after the tub I add some mr.clean and water into sink and than clean the floor. I do that every other day, because I take the bath every other day. As of my boys room they help with the toys, which we pick up before nap time and before night. The beds I do right after they wake up.Then we eat ,they eat longer so at the time I take the dishes out form the dishwasher. When thay sleep I clean the floors. They know that they are not allowed to play with toys in other room beside theirs. I also always put the things on it's place and clean right away. it seems like lots of work but I end up with more time for myself.

my house is N O T it was with 2 then after three I become too outnumbered and just stopped caring. I mean things don't get done half as often as they should but eh thats life. Its funny I used to be OCD about it house was spick and span and had to be before my head hit the pillow. Now its like perfectly clean only for birthdays. LOL! as long as the kids are happy and the house isn't a total pigsty i say your fine and i too have the dredded messy house.

Man, I am cleaning continually! I am either cleaning up the kids or cleaning up the house. I have to do it everyday to maintain its cleanliness, and then when I have extra energy or some few and far between downtime, I work on big projects like closets, mopping floors, bathrooms, etc.
2 blessings + 1 girl blessing + (God willing) 1 more in 2011= 100% complete
Almighty Creator, Hear this prayer and the wishes of my heart. You know my deep desire for a child, a little one to love and to hold, to care for, to cherish. grant that my body may conceive and give birth to a beautiful, healthy baby in Your holy image. Guide me in all my choices so that this conception, my pregnancy and my baby's birth are in line with Your will. Heavenly Father hear this prayer of my heart, mind and spirit. Amen~

It is a never ending groundhog day here lol. I am constantly picking up the trail my kids leave. I do find if you allocate one area or one room to toys only it helps to leave the rest of the house looking halfway decent. I am in the process of decluttering again. I havent got a lot of cupboard space so things tend to get messy easily.I think the less you have the easier it is to keep clean lol.Routine works when I am feeling full of energy but it is very hard when I am pg to keep on top of it.Bunnings have some great storage ideas. I brought 6 stackable drawers made by Oates. They stack on top of each other. I have labelled each one with what toys go in them & I find this is a good way to get the kids to put their things away. I alway wonder how Mums keep their homes spotless with kids???

my house is rarely spotless and sometimes is actually pretty damn nasty. It depends on my mood, most days i will do a pick up before bed or as soon as i wake up if i was too tired to do it before bed. but some days i just cant be bothered and it will go to crap to the point where i would die of embarasment if anyone came over, i find its a lot worse when you have very young children who dont understand they need to pack up what they were doing, or drop crumbs with every single thing they eat, it gets easier when you can yell at the older ones to pick up their junk or bribe them into giving you a hand tidying up. I try not let it get too bad as it then takes hours and hours to get it presentable again, but even when i know i have people coming over, the house is usually just in 'acceptable for a woman with 3 kids' condition. tbh the only mums ive ever known with really spotless houses are the kind of weird obsessed ones who dont really have much of a life of their own... sometimes i wish i could be like this (DH always moaning about the state of the house - yet wont help coz he works and i dont) but most days i just have better things to do that clean all day!!!

*hugs* to you - it is SO hard when preggo! I remember how tired I felt last time. One thing that helps me is having a place for everything - like with the bins that fivecrazymonkeys mentioned. We have lots of bins for the toys - little ones for small things and bigger ones for books and bigger toys. One day I sat down and organized everything so now I know what goes in what bin and it honestly makes it SO much easier.
eta - to answer your question, we have good days and bad days LOL! Some days I am too busy and things get let go, and others I'm in the cleaning mode - it just depends.

Well I live with my mom and dad, I am 19. My two sisters are 15 and 11, tornado 1 and 2. 15 y/o is notorious for: 1. dropping her dirty clothes in the living room in the morning after she changes for school, 2. leaving juice boxes, yogurt containers, etc around the computer after being on it for about 5 hrs straight (honestly wonder why she has to be attached to a computer so many hrs a day) 3. makeup and hair products overflowing from the bathroom 4. stuff spewing out of her room into the hall (clothing). 11 y/o is notorious for: 1. empty juice boxes being left anywhere and everywhere 2. plates in the sink with her food still on it 3. stuff she doesnt eat for lunch at school being dumped on the counter anonymously, etc. Im so sick and tired of living like this and my parents are no better. We will check the mail and bring it to them, they just let it accumulate. we have piles of bills and paper EVERYWHERE that they wont let me shred and recycle but they dont do anything with it. I hate living like this but they dont help me maintain when I clean so why should I care

I have to clean daily. I can't stand when the house gets dirty and I can't sleep if there are dishes in the sink. I guess you can say I have OCD, but it works out, because nobody likes a dirty house I don't mind vacuuming, mopping, dishes, etc...but I hate cleaning the bathrooms, I always save them for last. I even bought a Hoover steam cleaner for the carpet, I hate stains! Oh, and I LOVE the smell of Pine Sol, so it makes cleaning something I enjoy. After everything's clean, I love to sit back and breathe in the smell of pine! LOL

My house is always clean. I can't stand mess. I clean it once a week, on Thursdays. I usually do big time dusting once or twice a month. I clean so often that when I do it only takes an hour to an hour and a half.

That's what I like about cleaning so much. It would take so much longer if I let the crap and dirt pile up, it's easier to just maintain it.

i love a clean house too and when i only had DD it was so easy to have the house spotless all the time...even with DD2 it was ok BUT now that my munchkins are older and can make mess by looking at a room and with DS walking around making his own little messes and my Dh making his own mess with his xbox controls everywhere and having a fourth on the way i am worried that i wont be able to keep it clean at all ...
I really need a maid!!
