Supplements and Diet for a Girl Sway
|
|
Hi Everyone, Well, DH and I have been talking about trying for number 3 and in my heart I would really love a girl as we have 2 wonderful boys now. In reading everything, I was just wondering, what other supplements should I be taking if I am taking the prenatal vitamins? Should I stop taking these and just use Folic Acid vitamin along with other supplements and what is the recommended dosage for swaying to the pink side?
Thanks so much. Andrea

Hi there!
This info is in the FAQ. For swaying pink, do NOT take prenatal, but DO take folic acid! This is very important to prevent birth defects!
GL in your swaying for girl journey!

I agree, take Folic Acid... but stay clear of the prenatal. (not advising you, but that is what I am doing). :o))
I wish you luck!!! Read the FAQ'S on how to get a girl. You will get a lot of info just from that!! :O) I found it most helpful!!

Hey all, I just read this post and I looked at the FAQ but I couldn't find where it said to not take a prenatal. Can someone please give me the link to it? Can you take a reglar multi vitamin? thank you!

Hey Cinderella!
This is all stemming from recent research that more vitamins contribute to conceiving a boy. (the "healthier" you are, the more likely you are to concieve blue, wheras the "less healthy" you are, the more likely you are to concieve pink.) Ask Kristindoggirl about this! She has all of this info.! I think it is not in the FAQ yet either because a)Tamara hasn't updated it or b)Tamara and K-dogg disagree on this

Hi skanded!
Congrats on your little girl!! Just a q'n on the calcium tablets, did it include magnesium? how about zinc? I was wondering about the aspirin, too. That's a good idea to do it every other day instead of every day. (I guess it's easier to wean off of when pg)
btw, also from n.c.

Thanks everyone, I totally missed the faq section...duh...
Anyhow, in reading the faq, does hubby have to take the supplements to help with swaying for a girl? My hubby really isn't too interested into all this...
Thanks.

It is definitely advisable for dh to take the supplements, as well. It would be even better if he did the diet, too, but I suppose most hubbies are not too keen on it! I get mine to take calcium and cranberry, that's it. By the way, I live in Europe and they test multivitamins regularly here. They are usually deemed rather useless, probably because they contain too many minerals and vitamins in one. For example, you should not take iron or zinc with calcium or magnesium, and yet all those pills contain all of them together. It is really best to take calcium and magnesium separately for maximum absorption in your body.
Cheers, Viv

Yes!! I am originally from the coast. Lived there most my life. LOVED IT AND MISS IT!! I am now in CLT b/c of DH's job. Maybe one day we will be able to move back! But my parents still have a beach home on the ocean so we visit every few weeks!
