Caylee Anthony, Haleigh Cummings, Somer Thompson...

I admit that I love to watch Nancy Grace and what she does, but these cases just make me soooo sick!! I started watching the Lacey Peterson case and followed Casey's trial and I can't even put into words how sad it makes me feel that these are just some examples of what's going on in today's society. How many sick people are abusing / murdering their own children who they are supposed to protect!!! That last video of Cailey curled up in her grandpa's lap before she was killed by her own mom just makes me cry...  That sweet innocent little girl reminds me a lot of my own child especially when my girl cuddles with me like that. 

How can this happen??? Why??? If you don't want your child there's a lot of ppl willing to take care of them. IMO these child  killers all deserve to die a very lenghty and painful death Even though sadly nothing is going to bring those angels back.

I never get to watch Nancy Grace.  If you don't mind bring me (others) up to date on Hailey Cummings.  I am just sure the young step mom did something to her but didn't out and out mean too, more like she is just too young to be taking care of the kids full time. 

And you are so right a long painful death isn't enough for these baby killers.

There's really no change in Haileys story right now, no leads, no child found, nothing. I know her step mom has been found to fail the lie detecter tests and such, I had a bad feeling about her the moment this case started, it just doesn't add up. That girl looks beyond messed up (my thought is drugs) and the thing that keeps popping into my head is little Hailey saw more then her step mom wanted her to, or was getting in her way. It's sad, I keep hoping for good news, but after this long?

Well this is the latest from Orlando Sentinel regarding Hailey's case:

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Some explosive allegations surfaced Thursday morning in the search for Haleigh Cummings.

A letter written by a friend of Misty Cummings explained what appeared to be a new theory about the disappearance of the girl and why Putnam County sheriff's deputies drained a pond over the weekend.

The letter was written by an inmate at the Putnam County Jail and claimed authorities have a sworn affidavit indicating Haleigh died after accidentally ingesting Oxycontin.

Kristina Renee Prevatt, a friend of Cummings, was jailed on drug and other charges. Prevatt apparently wrote the letter to her boyfriend, claiming investigators interrogated her about the Haleigh case last week.

The letter also indicated detectives have another sworn affidavit from another acquaintance of Cummings, Joe Pytco, that explained exactly how Haleigh died.

"We were all over at a party at Chad's house and Haliegh (sp) got a hold of some Oxycontin and died ... We supposedly freaked out and Greg put her (Haleigh) in a black bag in my car, and we took her to a pond by the Mondex," the letter stated.

The letter continued that detectives had taken Prevatt's car from a junk yard for DNA testing. In the letter, Prevatt maintained she was not with Misty that night. She was, in fact, with her boyfriend.

The letter was dated Sept. 18. That is one day before the pond outside Palatka was drained and searched. (PDF: Read Letter About Haleigh)

Prevatt is 19 years old and has a lengthy criminal record, ranging from possession of cocaine, stalking and a probation violation.

Detectives and family members have had a strong reaction to the letter.

"The only reason we're talking about this is to dispel the rumors and resolve the drama," Rick Ryan of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said.

Haleigh's grandmother said the little girl would not eat something that tasted as bad as Oxycontin.

Also in that letter, it was stated that Haleigh's body was dumped in a nearby pond. That lead her family members to speculate that's why the sheriff's department recently drained a pond. Ryan is also discounting that theory.

"That letter had nothing to do with draining that pond," Ryan said.

Ryan reconfirmed that authorities are treating any and all leads as legitimate.

Agreed!!!  A child abuse tragedy just hit our family last week.  I know this "man" will get the death penalty, but honestly, I hope the inmates take care of him SLOWLY and very BRUTALLY!!!!

For sure - this girl (Misty) is up to no good. She doesn't even know how to do interviews... I can't believe Hailey's dad married her during the investigations, as if to prove that he trusts her. She's 17 and chain smokes, total white trash!! I feel bad for the poor little boy that stayed behind and what he may have seen / heard.

I was dumbstruck at his stupidity here too. Seriously? If it was my child and I was in that situation, I wouldn't be confident in her with a simple "I went to sleep, woke up to go to the bathroom, and she wasn't in her bed" bs...I'd be at that girls throat like a dog on a cat until I got something real out of her, her fake crying doesn't pass me either. I can make myself cry in seconds flat. I wouldn't have even THOUGHT of marriage in a time like that, let alone to do it to prove I trusted someone who was last to see my daughter. Nu-uh! Guilty until proven innocent in my book.

My point exactly And also, I haven't seen or heard a lot from Hailey's biological mom on this case. She should also be on Misty's throat about what happened so it just makes me think that the whole family is kinda shady, kwim? At least Cailey had her grandparents who cared about her even though they are still in denial despite the overwhelming evidence against their daughter. And she will NEVER confess so these poor ppl will remain in uncertainty limbo for the rest of their lives. The selfish actions of Casey destroyed their whole family and all because she didn't want the responsibility of taking care of her own little girl. Now she can't party anymore and will be jailed for life. It amazes me that people think they can get away with stuff like that... tsc tsc

Thank you for bringing up these sweet girls, particularly Caylee Anthony. I used to live where this happened, and I was literally devastated over this for months. The night I was watching Nancy Grace when they discovered Caylee's remains, I literally sobbed. I was only a few weeks pregnant at the time, so I guess I was a bit emotional. Plus my little girl was around Caylee's age when she disappeared. Hearing the details of the case like the duct tape and heart stickers around the mouth, searches of chloroform on her computer, partying pics, and her new tattoos that read "a beautiful life" shook me to the core. Not to mention the lies lies lies Casey Anthony had. I am still so sorry that happened to her, I wish her grandparents had been more aware and involved in her and Casey's life. All I could think about is how sweet she sang while reading that book "you'll never know dear, how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away."

I know, right? Every time my girl sings this song I think of little Caylee too... she was definitely someone's sunshine even though her mom thought of her as a "little snot head". I was pretty shaken by this case also, maybe because of our own babies we, as moms, take these cases quite personally. It was very irritating to realize that Casey didn't have any remorse over this and all she talked about was herself and her lame excuses for everything. Her fake tears on TV were probably just feeling sorry for herself and how she got caught. Not to mention how annoying and cold-hearted her voice is when she's going on and on with those lies

I know. I haven't been following the Hailey Cummings story quite as much as I did Caylee's because it is just too depressing. Those teenage parents brought out the rage in me. How did they deserve to be parents (I know Misty's not the real mom...but) of that beautiful little girl?

Even the parents of Casey Anthony get me so angry! They still support her! I know it's their daughter, but she murdered their precious little granddaughter! And had NO remorse whatsoever! I would have a hard time forgiving someone who was capable of committing such an unthinkable crime.

*sigh* I try not too watch these stories too much anymore, as it REALLY upsets me because I look at my children and think, "how could they??"

I am just so thankful everyday when I see my children happy and healthy and realize how blessed they are to be given to families who cherish each second we have with them.

All these stories makes me so sad  I just don't know how anyone could do that do a child. 

I just recently watched a video about baby P ( Peter Connely, I believe)  and I cried my eyes out for hours!!  I couldn't even sleep that night.  This little baby was tortured for most of his life. 

After reading about all this, all I want to do is hug by boys.  Keep them safe from all these monsters in the world.
