anyone wanna discuss this one?
I have watched since the 1st season and although the last few have been a little boring for me, I STILL watch. I was thinking it started in a couple of weeks, but heard on the radio this morning, it's TONIGHT!!!
I always said when Jeff Probst stops hosting, I'll stop watching

I'm in! Tonight? Wow, I need to pay more attention! I've watched it from the beginning as well and I love it. Never gets old to me.

I will be watching TOO! And I also have never missed an episode. I actually really want to be on survivor and would have applied a zillion times but they won't accept Canadians. I have even signed pititions!! My dh and oldest son say my mouth would get me voted off the first week...little do they know I have been horning my strategies!! I think I would be a perfect contestant... 40yr old mom of 6 kids! Five of them boys?!?!? (I would keep that part to myself because I wouldn't want the "kid" factor to make them feel threaten that I could win in a final two.) oh yeah I have it all planned in my head. I even sometimes at my camp start our fires with a magnifing glass or glasses... JUST to show my kids I COULD survive survivor. My dh and my neighbours laugh at me because I even tell them in details how I would win! They have no doubts I could survive the elements just the social part they think I would bury myself HAHA! I TALK alot. My boys on the other hand (not my oldest he thinks I would be booted out right away well he says they may keep me till merge because I would be able to keep fire going and catch fish and cook it with vegetation around me so I would be kept for that for awhile) but my little boys, totally think I would win.

I'm watching right now, and I can already tell you that I can't stand Russell! The way he was talking about the girls, and then how he lied about being in Hurricane Katrina?? What a jerk! I do like Shambo (what a mullet, lol!), and the cop lady that Russell tried to make an alliance with. At least she seems to have him figured out! So, I'm hoping Russell is gone soon!

I love Survivor and my DH and I even participate in "survivor drafts" with other couples... we each get to draw 2 names, put some money (about $10) and the winner takes it all. It makes it more fun even though I can't always cheer for my favorite players I didn't know it was starting tonight though. Better go set up my TIVO!!

I think that the ones who voted for Ashley are seeing Russell for what he is. I also think... that if he TRUELY is the worse survivor player that actually went far they wouldn't have used it to promote this season show. I think he doesn't last long. If he did last long wouldn't they allow his nastyness to unfold and build?? I think Russell THINKS he is really smart and clever but I also know that on survivor those who think that way are the ones who get their little ego's tossed out the door FAST.
The Dr who is the leader for their group... they showed him listening in on Russell and looking at him sideways as Russel did his thing trying to convince people to vote that other girl off. (she has amazing eyes) They didn't show anything he was saying and that is probably because we would already know he is on to him and they want that to be shown later.. but I think Russell isn't as smart as he thinks... sitting there strutting his stuff being a little mouth peice as others smarter than him are standing back.... watching him SILENTLY as he hangs himself. THEY are the smart ones... he is the bully in the play ground thinking he is all that and a slice of cheese where really he is just a smuck haha

I love that the police woman was on to him from the get go. I also think the doctor is suspicious of him. But i will bet anything that russell does not go anywhere soon. They almost always keep the physically strong players for the first couple of weeks. Also no one seems to be taking on a leadership role. The doctor was voted as the leader but he is not really leading because he knows that leaders have a target on their heads. I'm also guessing that the country boy (the one who said he will eat anything) will get himself in trouble with his mouth. Russell has alot of alliances. This could work out to his favor unless his scheming is discovered early. Which i doubt will happen. Although Marissa telling everyone at tribal council what Russell said to her may get some people talking

It always seems like such a fine line when they make so many different alliances this early. Nobody really trusts each other yet, so I would always be worried that people would talk.

ok, so we haven't been talking about this, but can I just say Foa Foa--WOW! they are down 1/2 their tribe already! they may have no one left for a merge.

I agree. Russell thinks he is being so smart by screwing with his tribe...Well what the heck is he going to do when they go into a merge and the other teams picks them all off one by one. The asian girl made me laugh last night as soon as Russell said 'do you want to be the next one gone' you could see the fear in her face.

yep. and you know he can make the tribe do what he wants.
funny that she "knows" he has the idol, but he's like nope, never been in that tree!
poor Shambo, I felt bad for her not getting to eat
