So Dr appoint at hospital this afternoon went well! Baby doing great - perfect fundal height, 35cms & heartbeat excellent 140-150. She has dropped into pelvis a little bit, Dr could feel 4 parts of the head, so 4/5ths palpable or 1/5ths engaged. (if that makes sense). Asked about these constant period pains, lower back ache & contractions, basically told its braxtons or pre-labour & nothing they can do (ofcourse). Was told to use heat packs & take painkillers. Im in agony tonight, back is absolutely killing me! I had 2 contractions alone in the waiting room this afternoon. Cant fathom another 4 possible weeks with this agony, Doh!, have chiro in couple of days time so hoping that helps somewhat! Still here, without my baby girl, holding on.. will keep posted! O the joys of pregnancy.. xx

=========================================================

I am a due in August (7th) mumma, but have had PTL since 32 weeks. Was in hospital with contractions & bloody show etc. Had the steriod shots.

Has been 3 weeks and been pretty good, apart from dilating more, 5cm and losing mucous plug still.

Yesterday I had some bloody show and contractions on/off. Was a bit crampy during the night, didnt get much sleep, my toddler is sick with a cold.

Today I have had a lot of loose bowel movements (not usual for me), lack of appetite, and back/period type pains at the front all day. Picked up in intensity this afternoon. Needing to pee a lot, but thats a common one for any pregnant lady, labour impending or not right?

Im basically waiting for contractions to kick in, feeling pretty uncomfortable at the moment! Ugh

Had a feeling 35 would be the week she arrives, so not prepared for tonight though.. so fatigued from lack of sleep last night & do not have the energy to bring her into the world right now...

What do you guys think, sound like anything at all to you?

Well last night I had period-type pains & constant lower back ache, the whole night! I would wake up intermittantly when the lower stomach cramps were pretty uncomfortable, edging on me getting up out of bed because laying still was reaaally hard.

Have had mild period type pains and the constant back ache all today! Started getting contractions this afternoon and into this evening so far. They are not regular though and not painful, just really uncomfortable and annoying.

Appetite has been pretty small last few days, but thankfully didnt have loose bowel movements again today. Envy

Just super tired!

Not best timing if anything does become of these pains though, my poor ds has a flu & has been up/down all night running temperature & pretty unhappy at the moment. Dont particularly want to leave him & go into hospital.

See what happens though. Crazy to have these pains constantly for sooo long, have to be warming up surely?

Sounds like it might be the start of something, but you never know...Good luck if it is!  I had my ds3 at 35 weeks and he did great, and they say premie girls usually do better than boys:)

Maybe it has something to do with the full moon in 2 nights time here. ?!

I have pretty much had constant lower back ache & period type pains, which are worse at night with the contractions. But they arent going anywhere, staying same intensity & irregular.

I have Dr appointment at hospital tomorrow so will bring it up with him. Seems strange to have this constant for days, ugh!

Best if this doesnt turn into anything, I have a sick 18mnth old son at moment, with throat infection on antibiotics and pain killers.. so I am up all night and busy nursing him all day. WORN OUT is an understatement. Busy Busy!

Hope you can get some good rest before baby is born, and your ds feels better:)

My water ended up breaking on a full moon...I'm slightly skeptical about if lunar cycles actually effect that or not...but maybeHappy Wink

Are you going to continue nursing your ds once you have the baby?

Oh sorry, I didnt mean "nursing" as in breastfeeding lol.. my bad. I meant nursing as in holding him & rocking etc. He is very clingy at the moment being sick, but definately on the mend and getting better now he has antibiotics in him. Poor fella :(

I have hospital appointment this afternoon, soon. Been having constant lower back & lower stomach ache/cramps for literally DAYS now! Ugh, its worse at some times than others though & I get contractions sporadically throughout day (about 10-15min apart) but they are more prominent/uncomfortable by afternoon/evening. Havent picked up in intensity or frequency though, so I know its not "true" labour, obviously, but the "pre" stage... so annoying!

Hope its doing something useful lol

Will post after appointment re: little one's position, I am afraid she is still transverse or oblique, so we will see! Have read some horror stories about women going into labour with a tranverse baby & having cord prolapse etc, major medical emergency eeeek. But, I guess Im a worry wart eh! Serves me right googling this sort of thing! Doh!

PLEASE UPDATE!  :)  I can't believe you are at 5 cm so early!  Can't be long now.  The first stage of labor (early labor) is from 0-4 cm so you have done a lot of the work already.  Once you go in labor it will be so fast I bet! :)

Hey Danyel, sorry I forgot to change the original post title. I updated on first post :)

Was in sooo much agony last night, nothing would relax me. My lower-mid back was (contracting?? crampy/ache) very intense the whole night. I was literally about to start climbing the walls in pain!! Thankfully this morning I have woken up and they are back to their usual constant dull ache, I had couple contractions in bed this morning but so far everything is back to being niggly but bearable.

Maybe all this pain over last 4-5days is because she has started engaging into my pelvis? Then again I had none of this pain, for this long, constantly, with my 1st pregnancy. Its unfathomable!

Full moon tonight, I pray that is what is causing this LOL

Nights are more intense for me than the day, I wonder why that is???

Back contractions kicked in again, its early evening. Just as intense as last night, I dont understand it at all. Came out of no where, nothing helps them ease - hot showers, heat, massage, painkillers... HAS to be back contractions, surely???

Oh.... [:'(]
