Help please for attempt tonight- EW and SD question..

Last night with our attempt I used liquid EW but...I think it got too liquidy with the incubator and the layers were not clearly defined after an hour.   I still took the top because it had a slightly different tint than the bottom, nervous about that.  I was thinking tonight I'd go back to real EW.   The pictures look like Kelchey's that she posted yesterday. 

My only concern is-are the layers too defined, it is clear where semen ends and EW starts with real EW...Is this what it's like for others doing SU or SD?  The EW softens/thins a little with the incubator which is good, pretty stretchy/gummy EW when cold.

if dh gives you a huge sample split it in two and try both then go with the best sort.  if not then try the thick if the thin gave you a bad sort

Thanks for the wish!  Used real EW last night.  my DH's sample was almost the same color as the liquid too so that didn't sound weird. Still had a little EW in the sperm after an hour, a little surprised.  Before I put the EW on the bottom I used a fork to lightly separate it so it wasn't so globby.

Something weird... temp was at just about 100 the whole time, forgot about it for half hour (can't believe it).  Interestingly enough the sperm that I say in the EW looked dead.  There were black specs and no movers.  But his sample there were live ones (not tons but a good amount) and it looked good... so we went for it.  My pH before vinegar douche an hour before was 5.9 (boo), but stayed low for attempt (low 4's) and I've been managing to keep it low.  Was 4.1 this morning after lime tampon all night.  Sooo...not till Saturday when we do O+12.  I'm gunna have to put the sample in my bra for 4 hours before SU cause DH leaves at 4pm and my O+12 is more around 8-9pm.
