I got pregnant doing 0+12, or maybe it was 0+8.... anyways it worked for me. SU and diva cup. Do you use the diva cup? I left it in all night to increase my chances.

Okay, so If I am doing TBM with my SU at 0+12....how is conception possible when we have no idea the timeframe when the spermies wake up.

because we know they wake up by at least 30 minutes after the fact (read the lime studies). it then takes x sperm 4 hours to swim

It seems nearly impossible if we do not know how long they stay immobilized, right?

Just a thought.....The last three months I have been doing 0+12 with no success and so I am wondering if it is because 1. maybe the lime has killed my sperm because it is low or

2. because it is too late when I make my attempt because by the time the sperm wake up, my egg is gone!!!

i double it as long as you are do it at o+20 or less. are you sure your getting o+12 right?

So, ladies...what do you think? How do we fix this for next month?

yes 2 people did it when they couldnt concieve after 12 months. but they never told me the outcome

Great thanks for the studies, I see what ya mean...I have DH taking Licorice Root to decrease his testosterone. We'll see. I'm taking Saw Palmetto to increase progesterone and decrease testosterone as well.

Funny you ask about the incubator, just got it today and am trying to see tonight what I need to do to stabilize the temp between 90 and 100. Without messing with it, it wanted to go above 100. Just added some aluminum foil around the bulb and moved the lid over a little.

Tamara seems to think it's 85% SU and there was a study done that said 85% as well. Of course now I'm not sure where that went. Some of the folks on gender dissapointment have said they wished they tried SU in hindsight. It's tricky though.

Hey Rainne..I don't have actual studies on this, but I remember Tamara saying many times that lower count = more x's..it might even be in FAQ. After work I'll definitely take a look at all those studies. What did you mean about that it's linked to hormones?

I think my dilemma between abstinance versus frequent BD is that it'll give us more chances to try especially with doing SU and having friends in town. So, if you can do abstinance and can tolerate this diet for awhile it seems stats are pretty good on that. Seems the stats for both shettles and 0+12 together are good as well though.

Nikilyn..what did you mean by using the second sample might not be possible? We're you thinking our DH wouldn't be able to "perform" again right away or something else?

Also, what about lime killing sperm...I'd hate to do the whole SU method and make splime for TBM when I'm just killing it all....Could I maybe do SU/TBM with only a little lime I wonder or do TBM and then quickly add 2-3ml?

After much research I have found studies that say high testosterone favors high sperm count, and high testosterone favors male offspring, therefore high sperm count favors male offspring.

Yeah, I don't know about the lime, I want to see where it says that the X's regain movement first. SU looks good in theory but how many people on here have tried it successfully, I know that Tamara did it and a lady who got a girl. I hope there are more.

Have you bought an incubator or are you making one? We haven't got one yet but are going to experiment with it even if untimately we go with another method. DH likes the science in all of this

You really don't have to do this. Infact, you may find that it isn't possible. There's no way that would have worked for us.

Interesting talk about the lime, don't know what to do...

so the release twice thing I got from under Gender Swaying "jump and dump". It can't be used with abstinance cause that would defeat the purpose of abstinance, but if your BD daily no big deal. On the night your doing an attempt, you BD twice, but throw away the first one. You could also try the first one as a practice. It's the second time that you use his sample for your attempt. Frequent BD favors girls because the semen usually has more X's. This would further deplete the semen therefor more X heavy. Hope that makes sense.....
