We have finally build one. We can get it to 37 degress, but when we take the lid off to put the test down it drops to 33 degress. What do we do ??

We had the same problem, we would just check to see exactly how much the temp would drop and be sure that the temp was that much higher before putting the test tube in. Ex. we would have the temp at 41 and since the temp drops 4 degrees then once the TT is in it would be the proper temp. This has worked pretty much everytime.... just do a couple practice runs to see if it does work... we also have a facecloth covering the TT to keep the temp the same..

Good Luck!

Re: Incubator question

dgf:

We have that too, the best is too keep a fan blowing on the incubator, that allows warm air to enter when you lift the lid up, so that the temp wont dip too much - we also use a fan to help the incubator get to the correct temperature when you first start
