mo4B- i know, that freaks me out too!!! what if my strips dont show the REAL ph!!! yikes.... just something else to give me wrinkles!

momof2boys- i grew up in longview :) and my mom still lives there. my dad and his wife are on the washington side across from hood river oregon.

So good to read other husbands that help out. My DH does the washing & folding as I hate that job so much. I have to admit I am a little controlling over the bathroom & kitchen as I am the bleach queen lol..I never take the rubbish out yuk it makes me feel ill..& the boys have a few chores too.Our Dishwasher wasn't installed for 2 years ahhh & the older boys had to wash up the dinner things.They are very happy that the dishwasher is now in..

I wonder if the Ph strips all show a different PH number. I was using the litmus paper from Genpeg off Ebay but maybe some show the "true" PH & others don't!

hi i am closer to Portland, lol. we're right across the bridge from OR for tax-free shopping!! ;) and WA has no state income tax so that is pretty cool. i'll put a rain cloud just for us Pac NW'ers ;)

YUCK!!!! toilets are my DH job that and folding laundry.... i dont do those! eveything else we kind of share although vaccuming is all me. he also will tidy up th ekitchen.... something that i am very lazy about :) we have good DH's !!!

momof2boys- i know on another thread you asked me where i was closer to sea or portland. then i asked you the same. but i lost the thread! so tell me, are you near me or closer to oregon??? (no way will i lose this thread LOL!!!)

well actually i meant around the toilet, as well as in, ewwww!!

but yes, when my boys are older, they'll definitely be helping around the house!! my 5yr. old does help sometimes, with much persistence though : / i try to get him to pick up his toys, and he does enjoy helping me with the trash sometimes (he gets to dump the trash in while i hold the bag~ yes trash is usually a man's job but we do the small trash cans in the house). also DS1 has been known to take a hand broom & duster and sweep under the baby's highchair, awwwww!!! how cute!!! ;-) that's already lost it's nostalgia though!!

Momof2 -- hehe, I know what you mean about toilets and boys!!! Hell, the toilet is usually fine, it's all around the toilet at my house! Luckily I have 2 strapping young men old enough to clean the bathroom

that's what HUSBANDS are for!!! ; P i seriously do make him clean, LOL. he gets mad at me sometimes, but he does it... eventually. i do stuff too though, sometimes, but i say i can't be expected to take care of the kids, you, myself AND the house all by myself?!?!?? and have any time for online!! ;-)

besides toilets are a NASTY job when you have all MALES in the house!! that's his job ; ) i'm the laundry wench, lol.

i also thought of raindrops, and almost brought that up as a point! ;) now DS2 is waking up, so much for my "fun time" online, lol. not like i use the downtime for CLEANING or anything, LOL!! : P

Maybe this is way off, but I just happened to think of rain drops. It rained alot here yesterday and sometimes the drops were little and then they got bigger. So maybe the same goes for drops out of a dropper.. I dunno --

my guess is if you use a bigger dropper, you will probably get a bigger drop. "Not all drops are created equal" ; P Like momof3 said, i don't think you're doing anything wrong. each DH is unique and so is the sample... though i was surprised that i think it was you posted on 1 of these TBM threads about the process, you said "anywhere from (i think) 4-15 drops." i thought it was only suppose to be like 3-5 drops and thought *I* was doing something wrong when i had to add so many drops to my DH's sample. I thought man, he must be *really* alkaline or something!! which he is, but i thought going past 5 drops meant i was going to be killing everything off. i'm still confused about this, which is why i wanted to try to check with a microscope, not to say i'd be successful at even figuring that out! i think i'm going to stay on the low side a little since i don't have months & months to play around, as the Clomid is giving me too many side effects this time around... keep us posted & i'll do the same!

i think even if i get DH from 8.5 to a 6 that is a huge improvement, though i'd like to at least get a 5.5. i know this could increase my chance of boy, but again i don't have forever i feel, and i don't want to go overboard and not get pg... i feel i'll be lucky if i can even get pg this way!! LOL i'll leave the rest up to God and hope he answers my prayers!!!

That is an interesting question. I would think that it depends on the size of the opening of the dropper-- but I'm by no means a science expert....

hum???? maybe? but dont you think all drops everywhere in all of the world would be the same size? arent drops determined by gravity and since that is a constant everywhere arent all drops then the same mass? or am i totally wrong and drops are more a product of what they are dropping from?

though the bottom color gets bright yellow but i've read on here to go by the top color if the 2 color boxes don't match.

I used the Alkalive strips. I couldn't get the top color to change when I tested my cm, but the bottom color did, so that is what I followed.

OAB-- I don't think you're doing anything wrong... every dh's sample is different... maybe his is just more 'potent.' Maybe it also has to do do with the dropper size. Mine is fairly fat, so perhaps I was dropping in bigger drops.
