What is the one that you are using or are thinking about in NY? You said they do have a package with PGD included?

But, realistically then are people doing more then 1 cycle.. like 3 or 4? So more like 45K-60K kind of thing?
Or are packages of 3 tries common? I feel like there is so much conflicting information online.

The average cost of meds is $2.5K, but can range from $1.5-$6, depending on your pretesting (low ovarian reserve.poor response to meds -> more meds required).

Success rate per cycle is 30-40% for your age group.

Mini-IVF (or natural IVF) is not recommended for GS. In fact, I have never met anyone on these boards who has done mini-IVF for GS. Yes, you save on the cost of meds, but you still pay for retrieval, ICSI, IVF, and PGD and the chances of having a healthy embryo of your desired gender to transfer are miniscule. On average, you need at 8-10 eggs to end up with one healthy embryo of the desired gender, because the attrition is so high - due to some eggs being immature, some do not fertilize, embryos do not progress, unhealthy embryos, embryos of undesired gender etc.

I was wondering if anyone whose done ivf with pgd can share with me what the cost was?
We are in the NY area. I had no problems getting pregnant with all 3 of my kids- but I know ivf is different. Plus, I'll be close to 40 when we try this.
What is the realistic cost/time to expect? I see some offer packages etc. One I saw had natural ivf- they just retrieve the 1 egg- no hormones etc- but with pgd is that even realistic to consider? Do they sort the sperm before?
I really feel like this may be way out of our ability to afford- but I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since I learned our third is another boy.
I feel with my age if we are going to do it we'd have to be ready to start within 6-10 months after our new LO is born.
But the idea it may cost 15K seems super unrealistic- right?
