I think it's wishful thinking on their part - but I've been through this with a very popular board before, I'd I'm skeptical. I think I'll keep a limb dipped in each pool and pull out when the waters cold.

Me too Sunny. IG is my home and I love it here. I am headed to Seattle in January and CDA in June to meet up with some of these girls that I met on here! I consider Danyel one of my best friends....I can tell her anything and she understands.

No way am I leaving...

I agree. I love IG and really want it to just work. I'm even okay with the monkeys on occasion. Just not every single time I try to post. It seems like some of the FL believe it will resolve soon and I really hope they are right.

I agree. I don't think it is a matter of who is staying, who is leaving, who is loyal, and who isn't. We just want IG to work so we can all stay here together...it is a common goal. It just isn't happening at this moment, that was my point. No mass exodus, just frustration at the circumstamces.

Just in case one more opinion is warranted, I'll give mine.

I don't think "spamming" is the right word. I can think of alot better words. By somebody creating a new site, or providing info in their signature as to what site they can be found on, is not spamming. That degrades the purpose of IG, which is now defunct. IG doesn't work. People are getting ripped off. It isn't OK.

But the essence of IG, providing information and answering questions and being a support to one another, can continue. It just isn't happening here. Scores of people have advertised their shops in their sigs. Rules about spamming seem ridiculous when the common goal is to stay together and continue to provide information, and in the face of a severely malfunctioning website, it is reasonable to provide access to other sources of information. If Tamara was not writing a book, and IG was completely unusable, I daresay she would provide the info of where to find her, because I know she feels upheld to share that information. Some of the ladies here are a wealth of knowledge, and it seems awfully censored to not be allowed to say where you have gone to continue providing that kindness. Alot of the deleting is becoming disturbing.

Nobody wanted to leave IG. It isn't a choice anymore. I wish it was.

I haven't read all the posts but I think Coco did a great job summing it up here. And I agree that nobody wants to leave IG but there isn't much choice than to look elsewhere when the monkeys are running rampant and Maureen is missing in action I'm hanging around for as long as the website is here but I'm also looking at other options so I can stay in touch with the wonderful friends I've made here.

As far as the Etsy type links, in the past the FLs did delete things like this up until the last year when things got slack. The FLs will step it up now and treat all spam equally. Please report any member with links in siggies that may be considered spam.

I've been here since Aug 2007 and there's been Etsy links posted & in siggies since then.. heck, we have a "For Sale" section! Not once did I see a post about how that wasn't allowed or that they should be removed.

I can't understand why this is being made into such an ordeal. So some people are moving to a new board & want to let people know where they're going to.. I can imagine when Maureen started IG, she probably posted on iVillage and whatever-other-sites there were that she had created a new board, right?

From her non-reaction to everything going on, maybe she'd be relieved if we all left!

Couldn't agree more. The tone has really changed with some of the mods..

I can only imagine how frustrated all the FL's are trying to hold this site together given all the problems it has. I sure hope everything gets worked out and Maureen is OK I think it's great that pp have started other sites, if IG crashes for good I'm glad you guys will have support.

IG used to be so fun thinking back around this time last year Lots and lots of great members have left b/c all the errors. For me though I will stay here post when I can (which sadly is not much anymore). I'm grateful for the friendships I have made through this site
