I have read a lot of posts on Intelligender and have heard that GIRL results are usually more accurate. If you had a GIRL result that wasn't correct, can you post here. I haven't found many of them. I'm hoping this is true! I know most of the wrong results said BOY.

beta hcg MoM from blood draw at NT scan tells GENDER!

Ok, all of you who have had the blood work that goes along with the NT scan, did you know that the hcg level ( also called MoM) that is part of the blood work is 19% higher in females than males?

So the normal is 1.00 ( boys) but the girl level ,on average, is 1.185. It is really well documented, and girls are actually more often misdiagnosed as " positive" for the screening because of this.

So, I asked the nurse who called to give me my results ( which were great btw) all about my exact numbers. My beta hcg MoM was 1.44. Which is even higher than the average girl number.

I really think I'm having a girl now!

I have been doing some research and I ran across an article that says the beta hcg numbers are higher for girls starting at 16dpo. If you google "beta hcg gender" you canprobably see the study. I looked up my numbers, and my dd did have really high numbers. My last boy did have really low numbers. What do you think?

I was being ridiculous and jumped the gun by taking the Intelligender test too early. Within 2 seconds, my results turned dark blue and stayed that way. Am I silly to assume that it was right? I felt so hearbroken with the boy result and decided not to take another test (even though I'm at 11 weeks). Anyone take a super early test and have the same results later on? Just curious...

I THINK I FOUND OUT HOW INTELLIGENDER WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok laides. I bought a few of the intelligender sex prediction kits. You pee in a cup and if it turns green, its a boy. If it turns yellow/orange, its a girl. This test is nothing more then a PH test!!!!!!!!!! I took the first test and got a dark green result. My urine is alkline which we all know, favors a baby boy. I went ahead and changed my PH to acidic by taking cranberry... I brought my urine PH down to a 5 and guess what!?? I did the test again, and I got a girl result. Acidic PH favors girl conceptions. Thnik about the PH test strips you used. Green or blue means alkline (boy) and yellow/orange is acidic (girl) Save your money ladies as this test is nothing but a very expensive PH test. :)

Clearly I am getting very impatient to know the gender at 10 weeks. I was looking on the internet today and found quite a few woman who where recently (within the past couple of months) told the gender of their babies by a blood test at around 12 weeks, usually at the NT testing. Has anyone heard of this?

The woman were from the US, and a couple of them referred to it as the 'Jack and Jill' test. Supposedly the babies DNA is in the mothers blood.

You will have to skip the first few paragraphs which goes into the morals of sex selection etc to get to the testing side of it.

I know there are plenty of organisations claiming to provide this service by sending a kit out and you sent back blood from a finger prick etc. But they seem to be questionable and expensive. If I could find out at the same time as my NT testing from my own doctors, that would be so much better!

Just wondering if anyone has heard of this before?

Has anyone ever heard of this test? I'm in Houston and the Center for Medical Genetics here offers it as part of the nucheal scan. It sounds a lot like TMPOB to me. They take your blood and fill in 5 circles on a piece of paper. They send it off and have the results of the gender in 7 days. It's supposed to be a fetal dna test where they look for fetal dna in the mother's blood. They claim it is 98% accurate and my OB says it has only been wrong for one of her patients (out of hundreds).

I had it done with DS2 and it was right. I had it done again this time and it said boy again and I was sooooo hoping (and so convinced) it was a girl. I'm actually hoping someone has heard about this test and maybe even it was wrong for someone. I don't know how it could be wrong as it was done in a lab and well, I dont' have a Y chromosome and obviously they saw one. But I'm still hoping. I have a confirmation u/s in a few weeks.

After my visit with the OB yesterday and doc guessing girl based on OWT of high heartbeat (180), I thought I'd have a little fun... so I stopped and picked up an intelligender test on the way home. My pH strips have been anywhere between 5.25 and 5.75 (and I've definately been off the girl diet since I got +HPT). This is my test from this morning... what do you guys think?

Hi has anyone heard of a company called DNA plus based in California they do paternity testing and various other tests including a pre-natal gender blood test that requires a local hospital to take your blood from 10 weeks gestation. I emailed them and apparently it is not the same as tell me pink or blue??? I have googled the company and it seems reputable but who knows????? xx

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has used this new early gender predictor test? It’s relatively new, so I don’t know much about it. I went to their website www.intelligender.com and it says it’s a urine test that changes green if you are having a boy and orange if you are having a girl. The test costs $34.95 and it can be used from 8 weeks to 24 weeks, although I read on baby center boards at least 10 weeks is the recommended time. They are claiming a 94% accuracy rate. Not sure if this is a scam, but it seems interesting.

Does this test REALLY work? Someone said that it just test your acidity????? Is this true? Has anyone had accurate results with it? Just another thing for me to get obsessed about......good thing I have IG..or else Dh husband might go crazy!!!!:)

Ok so I just ordered this test yesterday, but have not found many statistics on the accuracy so am curious to those who have taken the test if it was accurate.

Intelligender vs. Tell Me Pink or Blue

Hi ladies,

I'm just wondering which one is more accurate.... intelligender or tmpob? I know they have both been wrong but which one has a better reputation? I have taken both tests and have conflicting results. I'm going out of my mind and would like to know which one is more reliable. I ordered another two intelligender tests and want to know if I should spend more money on another tmpob. I think I may have contaminated my blood sample for tmpob - it was very difficult to get that much blood out of my finger. I had used my diabetic tester to poke my finger - over and over and over...and then when I finished the test I remembered that my husband had tested his blood just to see where his sugar levels were at. (I had changed the needle but not cleaned the unit). So I think maybe the results would have been off because of that? Is that possible?

Question about Intelligender....Did it work for you?

Ok...so I took my first intelligender at 9 weeks and 4 days while I was on Crinone (progesterone suppository) and I got a very clear girl reading. I took intelligender again yesterday at 12 weeks and 5 days (I am no longer on progesterone) and got a very clear boy reading. At my last sonogram at 12 weeks 4 days I felt that the nub looked girl and the tech agreed but said it was still too early. What do you guys think? I will know for sure on Monday because that is when I get the CVS results back but I can't handle the suspense.

I have been reading here for a while but haven't posted yet. Anyway I just wanted all the girls who are thinking about buying the Intelligender test online that I went to Walgreens today (I'm in Central Florida) and the test is no longer 34.99 at the Walgreens, it was $19.99! I couldn't believe it! :) I'm not too superstitious or anything but I hope it was right since it said girl for me and I already have 2 boys :), I'm about 13 weeks right now.

Cabbage Test To Determine Gender?

Buy a head of red cabbage and cut up about 2 cups worth. Put into a bowl or glass container (whatever you have I guess) and pour boiling water over it, enough to cover it and allow it to sit for 10 minutes or until the color leaches out of the cabbage. Filter out the cabbage and discard (or use for cooking purposes if you want!) Pour some of the cabbage "juice" into a glass so you can see the color. Now add your urine until it changes color. If it stays a purple-ish shade, it's a girl. If it turns red-ish, it's a boy

Ok...I really really really wanted this last baby to be a girl. I'm so heartbroken and sad.

pink or blue just emailed me saying my test says BOY.

intelligender emailed after I sent them my pics and they confirmed GIRL.

who is right. I assume Pink or Blue would be right because it's a blood test. Is there a chance they are wrong??

I'm so annoyed! Just got results that the 2nd test was 'contaminated' so they need me to do another test. Couldn't they have told me that sooner rather than make me wait 5 days?? So, onto test #3 and it says lab test so maybe I have to give blood somewhere? If not - I will be huddling in my closet again - slitting my fingers apart so I can drip enough blood on the damn paper and then not touch it while I shove it back in the envelope?? Sooo annoying. By the time I actually get the results - I will be having my 20 week U/S and since it said it was contaminated - its probably b/c I am having yet another boy and they are just picking up all the male DNA from my previous 3 male children AND the new male baby !!!

Should I just ask for a refund now and wait another 2 weeks for the U/S??????
