I always just assume that people who make such comments must not have any boys themselves - they do not know the joy of a boy. If they do have boys themselves then that's a pretty crap statement to make - I could never say that about my boys - they are delightful as babies. There is nothing better then a big fat drooly smile from a chubby baby boy - melts me more then little girls for some reason.

Re: My friend had a baby girl today!!

i just know when girIs see my boy they sight Ioud IoI. i beIieve second son wouId be hand somasweII.

Try not to read the Facebook comments cos if you are anything like me, you will be super sensitive anyway ! I agree that society sometimes seem to favour girls, certainly where I am from.

People just seem to feel sorry for me. As someone who doesn't have or is not expecting a girl, I totally understand how you are feeling.

It is so hard but most of us do understand xx

Re: My friend had a baby girl today!!

I saw a similar comment the other day in facebook as well and this was from someone who has a boy also.
I just cant wait for all these kids to grow and see who becomes what. Who is lucky and who is not

I *completely* understand. Same situation for me on facebook yesterday - a friend found out she was having a girl and all the comments on her status were SO SO SO gender-specific-positive-for-girls. I cringed when I read them.

Re: My friend had a baby girl today!!

congrats for your friend...A baby is a blessing no matter what color they come home in.

My friend had a baby girl today!!

My friend had a baby girl today.
