The designers of such strollers consider the double load that bears the stroller and systematically consider the stroller size, since two babies must require double space. This double element of a stroller is quite uncomfortable for anyone who rides the stroller and should be minimized, taking no gap from your babies. Luckily the producers of strollers have imaginary different constructions of strollers for twins and that we may easily chose the most of them online. These models are certainly relaxing for both parents to ride and babies to enjoy the journey. Anybody who rides such a stroller wouldn’t even point out that it has a wider size and there are two babies.

double strollers

Re: double strollers

Double strollers are for parents who are looking the best and convenient way of carrying their twins or two kids. My DS2 who is 3, LOVES his Jeep double umbrella stroller for $100. It's light and folds up nicely, and turns well and pushes great on grass too. The only downside is that when you are trying to go into a store and it isn't an automatic door, you need to figure out how to open it. Fits through OK. DS2 loves sitting next to DD, and when I have her laying down, he loves laying down too. I also don't have issues of wanting to get out of the seat, and I do not have to worry about loosing him when he's strapped in. I think the side by side is better in reguards to folding and storing, but sucks with going through doors you have to push open.

Re: double strollers

From my experience, I would choose the Sit-n-Stand over any other. When DS#2 was born, DS#1 was 16 months old so I figured a double stroller was a MUST.

I originally got a side by side double stroller....here is a pic.

Anyway, I really liked it, but it was not until I traded it for the Sit-n-Stand about a year and a half later that I realized I really hated it in comparison. A side by side is PERFECT if you have twins or two children about the same size. It was VERY hard to manuiver when the wieght on both sides is not that even. What was so great about the Sit-n-Stand is that fact that the older child can sit, stand or get in and out of the stroller with ease and if your 2 yr old is anything like mine, every time you stop to check out an animal at the zoo, they want out to see too kwim? Then, as far as the baby is concerned, they are commfy in the front and most come with the bar attachement so you can snap an infant carrier into it.

I will say, my girlfriend just had her second child and her oldest is almost 3. He is a big boy weighing almost 50lbs and she just spent $500+ on the Bob double jogging stroller and the weight distribution is NOT a problem with this stroller, but for as much as I used my double stroller, I would NEVER pay what she did

I am not talking brand but style. I am leaning towards side by side (tandem). I don't want to spend over like $250-$300. I will be using it for a 2 yr old and newborn. One on the lighter side would be better.
