Yup you can still take your temp before you get out of bed and before you take your reading. I always wake up, stick the thermometer in my mouth, then get up and take my oral reading. This way you get everything all at once. If you haven't started your temps you should start them now. I would record them in Fertility Friend and put the link to your chart in your signature so that way we can all see it. Temps can be funny though and you have to be even more diligent or you can't rely on your temps at all. I literally set an alarm for 5:00am every morning so that I can make sure I take my temp at the same time and my Ovacue at the same time. Same thing with my vaginal readings. I set an alarm for 7:00pm. Yes I am crazy but that is what works for me. You just have to find a system that works for you!

They are looking good. I would assume that cycle day 5 is going to be a cue peak for you. Even though you don't count the 479, I have found that when it does go high like that it would have been a high oral anyway. So I would look at that if tomorrows oral is low too. If you have long cycles, you can still get another peak so don't count that out either.

ok, today...oral 138. This is making me a little crazy! So far oral temps are:

CD3 169

CD4 101

CD5 479

CD6 138

No vaginals yet cause still have AF. Can I still take my BBT? I have been taking it before I get out of bed just to be thorough.

nope you can't count that one because of the food. If you see over 400 like Jana and Jojo said you have to take it again right away. I usually just clean it off and then stick it in my mouth again so that way I get a new reading. I would make sure you reread the manual again too because that has alot of stuff in it. HTH!!

ugh! Now I have had food and coffee! Will it still be ok? It is also 2 1/2 hours after I usually take it.

Just took again, oral 270. Should I stick with that?

i agree with jojo...anytime you see something over 400 just assume it is inaccurate and retest....

LOL...well here I am telling you not to retake your readings and this time I have to tell you that you have to if it goes over 400...ha! That is too high. Sometimes the monitor just does that. When that happens you just retake it but that is the ONLY time you should. Same thing with vaginals. If it goes over 400 it probably is not an accurate read. Count it for now as a high oral and see what follows the next two days. It can be your cue peak, but your vaginals are what I will go on anyway....

Dont' retake readings. You will just drive yourself nuts.

Don't try to analyze the numbers. They work out the way they are supposed to. You can't change that. You will count the 101 for today and it can be that your body is working on a cue peak. So don't worry about it being low....
