yeah I found some at GNC that I used last month and but the soy from walmart worked better this month vs. the soy from GNC so I have decided to load up on some cheap cream from walmart vs. the expensive cream at walmart! Hopefully wally world will come through for me and it works!!

Wow....what an appt! Some doctors always want to be in control. I had known my doctor years before I ever had a progesterone issue. She knew me well enough to trust that I would not listen to her and just put me on progesterone...LOL....but a lot of doctors want to take one step at a time...

At least she is testing things...the only thing is that if you are Oing now then you won't get a valid progesterone reading until you are in the LP...kwim??

Maybe the soy did move things up for you. That would be wonderful!

I just got back from the doc and I am of course not happy. She would only do blood work and then go from there. I explained my concern about low progesterone and I had to beg her to look at my bbt chart! I explained that we had been trying since last April/May time frame and that I had an 8 day LP. I am pretty sure she was taken back by the fact that I knew so much because when she asked if I had tried to detect the surge in LH with urine I said "yes but this is my first month using OPK's" and she then said "oh wow what textbook did that come from"! I seriously wanted to hit her. Well after she looked at my bbt chart of course the heading says Month #2 TTC! I wish I would have looked closer and used white out! She also had no idea what my Ovacue was and didn't care to hear about it either.

So I am supposed to call on Friday or Monday and get the results of the basic bloodwork and then DH has to give a sample! The other thing that threw me off was when she was down there doing my pap smear she said "Oh it looks like you are ovulating now." I knew I had EWCM but I have also had patches of that and not O'ed until later. With that said though I did increase my soy supps this month so maybe it worked by switching brands and upping the dosage. I asked her if my cervix was open and she said no. I also asked her if she thought I was going to O in the next day or so and she said yes. I did get a low reading on my Ovacue yesterday but I didn't think of it to much as I am only on CD9. I got my cue peak on CD6, drop in temp the last 2 days, so maybe it will happen tomorrow. I guess I will have to get busy and hope that the soy really did move up my O day!

Thanks girls! Yes I have read te TCOYF book and it is a good one. That is actually what made me start to wonder about ovulation and then that is why I bought the Ovacue and then when my Ovacue/Lisa suggested that I had a progesterone issue that is why I started temping. I actually have been planning on TTC for quite a while and I didn't want to be one of those women that had no clue about their bodies and then 2 years later they finally see the doc and it is just a timing issue.

I am definitely not going to say anything about swaying as I can just hear them now "well stop swaying and see what that does."

Thanks for all of the advice and I will definitely bring my last chart with me and do a little stretching of the truth!!

I think the last chart is a good idea.

But I want to say this...some woen have a temp shiftthat happens 2-3 days after their O. it is rare, but it happens. In that case, your LP would not be really 8 days but maybe 10-11 days long. Again, this is a rare occurance, but not unheard of. Have you read the book "Taking charge of your fertility"? It is mentioned there. Also, another suggestion: have you thought about going to a fertility awareness instructor? They are very open to patient interaction, sometimes more than doctors. They may help you identify possible problems or recognize that you don't actually have a problem. Finally, I really don't think it hurts to get your bloodwork back first. Then you would know what dosage of Progesterone you need, if you do indeed need it. I know it sucks to wait a month when you really want to TTC. But it may be worth a healtheir pregnancy....know what I mean? Just a suggestion....

It's been my personal experience with my fertility specialist that he appreciates

that I have some knowledge of fertility and TTC. The fact that you have a grasp

on fertility should make you more credible. I personally would not bring up the

subject of swaying, since most Docs don't believe in it. The minute I brought up

the question " Is there anything I can do to increase the chances of conceiving

a boy" I got an (Oh how cute look) he was very sweet about it but it was a very

clear "no". I also agree on stretching the truth about how long you've had a short

LP phase. Good luck!

Ohh, I would sneak in my last chart and hide it in my purse. That way if the doc doesnt believe I would say, oh but look I bought in my last chart after months of charting for you to see my short LP

I love it when the sneaky comes out in me sometimes! This will be fun. So I won't bring any of my charts I will just tell them that I have been charting and I have done everything naturally that I can think of to lengthen my LP and it isn't working!!! I haven't been naughty in awhile so this should definitely be fun!

You can just straight up tell him your LP is only 8 days...but the key is to tell him it has been that way for MONTHS

Lying never hurts because if there is an issue...it's best to get on it right away. Even women with perfect LP go on progesterone...I know those women and most of them are doctors!

So it isn't as uncommon as you would think....

So I have my doctor's appointment on Monday and I have never been to this doc before so she is not aware of any issues. My LP last month was only 8 days and my Ovacue numbers have indicated that I have low progesterone. My question is can I request that they give me progesterone even though I would not have my blood work back? I really want to get pregnant this month but if they don't test me until 7dpo there is no way I could sustain a pregnancy if I were to get pregnant this month. This last month I was on 100mg of B6 as well as Natural Progesterone Cream (1/4tsp 2 times a day) and I still had an 8 day LP. I am still taking the B6 but I don't know what else I can do as a quick fix if the doc won't give me progesterone.

Do you think a doc would prescribe progesterone if they only saw my FF chart and/or ovacue numbers? They probably won't understand the ovacue numbers so I don't think I have a shot at that. I hae also only charted my temps for one month. I plan on stretching the truth and tell her that we have been trying since last May. I don't want to wait for them to do any tests. What do you all think?
