TMPOB is sending out a second test to confirm or deny their first result. If its says boy I have to wait to get a 4D or birth certificate for a refund, but if its a girl they send it out to me. Which is nice...So we will see if the result is the same as the first.

I have heard a lot of people, that this has worked for. So Im happy to hear it worked for you...

I also received a TMBP "Its a boy" result. But today I had an u/s and the DR said ITS a GIRL. I am 18.5 weeks. This will be my third girl

So I was a little disapointed that TMBP was wrong..

I have been reading about this TMPOB, and as a degreed biologist myself (especially, molecular biology) a red flag has already came up. I went to their web site. If it is true that you prick your finger and place blood on a card or in a tube and they test that then that sounds completely inaccurate to me. Take it from me, all they are getting is a DNA profile of the mother and a possible confermation that the mother is pregnant and maybe how far along the mother is. If they are going to use DNA to determine the sex of the baby then they must obtain a sample of the amniotic fluid the baby live in for the term of the pregnancy. There is a possiblity that the mother may have extra male or female hormones (low amounts) in her blood (this come from the surge in hormones that produce the baby gonads or sex parts) but that surge is only comes at specific times of the baby's developement and are usually excreeted by the mother.

I am sorry that they didn't give you an accurate result and hope you call and get your money back.

Re: It's a boy! , but is it really?????

The same thing happened to me too. We had sex a few days before I ovulated, and i've read that the male sperm have a small % of living that long vs. the long and slow female sperm. So we'll see. I am going in for my gender sonogram this Sunday May 31st. So i'll keep you posted if TMPOP was right or wrong (they predicted a boy for me). This is my first child so either sex is a blessing. I've actually forgot about my results with TMPOB this whole time since i've read such horrible things about them.

Re: It's a boy! , but is it really?????

I also received a TMBP "Its a boy" result. They were correct with my last son, however I wonder if they could be wrong with this one. I have 3 boys and had NO morning sickness. With this pregnancy I had morning sickness for the first 4-6 weeks right after I found out I was PG. And I have a weird rash on just my arms that the dr thinks is an allergic reaction to something...(I am not allergic to anything.) With my sons, my face was clear, soft and smooth but with this one I have acne as if I were 17 again. I took the TMPOB test on Apr 28 and the results came back inconclusive (they said they couldn't find enough DNA to say for sure one way or the other. So I had my blood drawn and dripped onto the paper and TMPOB said boy. Here's why I think I may be having a girl....(besides the completely different pregnancy....) My DH and I made love on a wednesday. I had the sticky egg white cervical mucous on Saturday. My due date is Monday Nov. 23. If my conception date was Sunday or Monday, the chances of the male sperm having survived are slim, as the males are faster and don't live as long. The female sperm are slower and live longer. What do you think? I also did the intelligender and it said boy, too. I'll be 14 weeks on Monday so I think I still have hope for my girl yet!

Re: It's a boy! , but is it really?????

NO WAY, My DD is TWO TMPOB and TWO intelligender BOY RESULTS. Do not waste you time even humoring the accuracy.

Re: It's a boy! , but is it really?????

Thanks for all the advice. I only found this site after the fact.. so now i'm disturbed with all the wrong results. The reason I question the results is because a week ago (mind you i'm only 13 weeks) I had a woman who specializes in gender sonograms tell me to start thinking pink. I mean I didn't even ask her to tell me.. my own Dr. asked her if she could tell what the sex of my baby is.... so i was amazed she seemed so confident telling me so early. She says she's been doing this for 20 years.

So here I have a Dr. telling me at 12 weeks i'm having a girl, and POB telling me i'm having a boy? I now wish I never took this stupid test. Trust me... I would be happy with either one, but I guess I had my heart set on a little girl....

This is my first pregnancy to.. so there isn't old "baby boy" dna floating around inside me :)

Do you think I should still have hopes that it could be a baby girl?
