im not even pg yet, but i have been thinking about this lately. i definatley think i would try with twins. i loved it with my boys and felt so lucky to be able to do it. triplets i think i would just throw in the towel and be thankful we have great formula out there now!

I have 9 month old twin nephews who are fed with breastmilk from a bottle and have been since day one. My SIL is a trouper and breastfed her first baby for a year and plans on doing the same with the twins. She is my hero! I have a 7 month old who I want to wean! The whole pumping thing was the only thing that worked for her with twins so that other people could feed the babies. She pumps evry two to three hours and gives one bottle to my BIL and one to a grandma and she takes a shower or eats or does one of the million things she has no time for! She DID rent a hospital grade pump. It was the only thing that could handle her massive pumping. She is pumping up to 80 oz. some days!!!! I have the Medela Pump in Style (the best store bought one) and it couldn't handle the amount of milk the twins need. I recommend renting a good pump if you are going to try to do the whole breastfeeding deal with multiples!

Tina: Breast or Bottle you are going to be fabulous mom to those triplets!! I already think I need a boob job after breastfeeding the boys so I can only imagine they will get more saggy after twins!! Ha, ha!!! No seriously, I really think each mom should do whatever works and fits in her life that causes the least amount of stress so she can enjoy her babies!!! TJ

I breastfeed both my sons so I hope to do the same with the twins. I just know that it is going to be very difficult and cause alot of sleep deprivation for me. However, with triplets that is whole different ball game- I would probably pump and nurse some depending on how it was going if I had triplets. However, with twins I feel pretty confident I can do it and I realize it will be more difficult at first. However, whatever works and causes the least amount of stress whether breast or bottle is how I look at it. TJ

I had totally worked out how I was going to BF my twins together. Made so much sense, get everybody fed at once, two babies, two boobies, voila. I bought a $45 tandem nursing pillow to fulfill this master plan. Well, none of us were ever comfortable multi-nursing. I always nursed them one at a time.

On Oprah a few days back there was a mom who had sextuplets (that's 6 right??) and she breastfed ALL of them for 6 months!!! HOLY MOLY!!!!
