When is too early to trust u/s prediction?

 K Im having my u/s next week ill be approx 17 w 3 days is this to early to take the tech seriously when she tells me girl or boy? The reason I ask is cause some say that anything under 20 weeks should not be fully trusted but I have seen so many get confirmed boy/girl by sixteen weeks!!??

I just feel worried b/c of a few post ive read on here about their u/s saying boy at 17 weeks then girl at 20 weeks or vice versa then the second sex predicted being right!!.

20 weeks is more accurate, yet some are very obvious at just sixteen weeks.

 If you have a good tech you can absolutely trust u/s prediction. I found out I was having a girl at 17 weeks--BUT I didn't trust it 100 percent until I got a second confirmation scan at 20 weeks
