This was there snobby reply to me, but this only makes me more determined to have a reply...maybe they dont want me to cycle with them, maybe they dont like the Irish LOL , or maybe they are very busy :

 finally i rcvd a mail from DR KHIlani it reads as follows:

You are most welcome to have your PGD in our center. The procedure is through IVF (test tube baby). The program starts on day two of the cycle with daily injections, monitor follicular growth by ultrasound and hormonal assay. This will need 10-12 days. When the follicles are mature, we give the final maturation injection. After about 34 hours, we aspirate the follicles through the vagina under mild general anethesia. Three days after egg retrieval, we take a biopsy from each embryo before  transfer to diagnose the gender. We transfer only the wanted gender. In about 12% we don`t find the desired gender but in 88% of the cases we find both. There is no complications following IVF-PGD procedure. Concerning the success rate, I am afraid there is no 100% guarantee in becoming pregnant from the first attempt. The chances to get pregnant at your age group is about 40% in my unit if we transfer two embryos, aiming to achieve pregnancy with one.

 

The duration of treatment is about 20 days starting day two of the cycle if you are going to start the procedure here in Jordan. However, I don't mind starting the program at your end under the supervision of your doctor which will minimize your stay in Amman for about one week. With regard the cost for one cycle:

 

§         Oocyte retrieval 1010 JD

§         Embryo Transfer 340 JD

§         Lab work 350 JD

§         PGD for each embryo (xy OR xx) 75 JD.

§         Hormonal injections and lab work is about 600 JD.

 

1 JD is about 1.5 US dollar

 

 

Please do the following investigations and send us the results before coming to Amman:

 

1. HIV, HCV, HBsAg for husband
2. HIV, HCV, HBsAg, CBC, FBS, TSH, for you, taking in consideration that we don't accept cases with positive HIV or HCV.

now we can plan for step two ie look for accomodation.... any one can give info with any apartments or paying guest system!!

So did I. They seem to have a sort of waiting list....Now I have to decide where to go.

 

 

Hello everyone, I am a newbie, I was set on crypus after looking at threads on here,, but I am now considering the farah hospital in Jordan!!! I am really confused as to where to go?? I am hoping to do pgd for girl, I have always longed for!! I may have problems anyway so waiting on a lapascopy to find out, please any advice on which clinic is best or anybody have had any success from them, I think about it sometime I feel so desperate!! I could cry, just turned 37, husband 52, have a adorable 9 yr old boy, but longing for a girl!!!

We wen´t to Farah last September. Hospital was good and they make a good job. We transfer 2 girls but I didn´t get pregnant. :( The embryos was top quality, so I don´t know why it didn´t work for us. We are not going to do that again. Like I said, the hospital was good and stuff was nice, but we didn´t like the country at all. It was a horrible "holliday" with 3 kids. You could not walk there because the traffic was so bad. Kids did vomiting 1 week. I gave a bad diarrhea. So if you go there, eat some lactic acid. We are never ever go back in there. I think we are not going to do the treatment anymore. If we have all the money in the whorl, we would go Dr Potter, USA. But we don´t have that money. So I´m not sure what we are doing. The best alternative would be to get over my girl dream. But it´s not easy.

Wy won't you go to South Cyprus genesis clinic of dr Savvas Koundouros. He is very nice, good English speeking staff. It's very clean in the clinic and outside. Very friendly people and they speak all very well English.

Hi Revedefille, it has been a while ago, how you are doing and how are your twin girls, they will be 5 this year? Hope all is fine with you, let me know, I'm planning to go to Farah next year. And thanks so much for sharing your Farah experience here, it did convince me to give it a try as well.
