Trouble with after-mix?

Is anyone having trouble with the after-lime douche that we insert 5 minutes after bd? did anyone have to take that step away after bfns'- I think that is why i got a BFN this month, I think it shocked them and killed my spermies.

 if i were you, i'd wait to insert the douche more like 20-30 min. after if you feel like you're killing off the sperm too soon.

That is too late, you have already given the Y's a running start to the egg.  I wouldn't give up after only one month, sometimes it takes more than one month to get pg even without doing douches and timing!!  Remember there is only a 20% chance of getting pg in any given month anyway.  Be patient!!!

Kristen, our "combined" phs after bd was a 6, I limed 5 mintues after with ph of 2 and that brought it down to a 4-4.5, you really don't think its impossible to get pg with zapping them with the ph of 2?  then I will contunie to do it this way and be patient,

this is unrelated to lime douche before or after. buti just wanted to say i know it's hard to think about maybe having a BFN- regardless of swaying stuff. i faced the same feelings this month. when i was considering high tech, i've was waiting to TTC for about 8 mo's now. and i'm 38. and i want 2 more. so i know i have worried a little about the douches and i wasn't sure i could do the full extreme GS with the centrifuge and diva cup b/c i really need to get PG right away.  

I am 31 and would like to get pg right away too bc once DS#3 goes to kindergarten I don;t want to start over again, and also I am in a wedding next May so hoping for late winter/early spring baby- I might do the before and after douches with more attmepts this cycle and see what happens-last cycle I had 2 attempts, I might use repelns for before-which worked great for me and the lime 5 minutes after from end af threw O+12, I know I have some boy timing in there-bding threw O but DS#3 was girl timing- hopefully low sperm count and my ph will be on my side-I was completly dry last month-it was great,

I do think it makes it harder to get pg, but it seems like anything that makes it harder to get pg sways for a girl.

Tamara says that a pH of 2 combines with your natural environment to make the pH just right for ttc girl.

Jen, I completely agree with you 100% and I think the rules have got to be different for anyone over 35 who needs to be pregnant quickly.  I don't mean to take getting BFN's lightly at all and I totally understand about the time pressure, but the PP is younger and does have a few months to try.  I am 38 also, almost 39, and I did not do any douches or timing at all, I just did a restricted diet, weight loss, and a few supps.

Anyone over 35 should join us in Mature Mamas for TTC support from other ladies who know what that dang ticking bio clock sounds like!!

Duh, I knew that meant previous poster.  I was either reading it trying to get a different meaning out of it or I was really tired.  Could have been either.

That is great about the BFPs.  I was just talking to DH about this this morning.  I have been wondering how things will go for me.  I've always gotten PG very easily.  My first took 3-4 months, 2 surprises, and tried for 1 month on #3.  I am glad that I found out that even if you had an easy time when you are younger, things change and it may not be that way.  Very curious what will be my outcome.
