Leaking Milk?
|
|
Anyone else yet? I'm hoping this is a good sign that pregnancy is going well despite the crappy ultrasound. I never did this even with DS2 until much later but I guess my body just remembers what its supposed to do or something. I'm not worried, extremely happy actually, hoping to get some good solid answers this week!!! :) Anyone else's body doing some weird things (well, besides the obvious!!) ???

Hmm, interesting! Not to be a pest or anyting but I just wanted to tell you (and others) that I know taking folic acid can sometimes make women feel sick and do other unpleasant things but taking it is SO important. If you don't, you're at a higher risk for anencephaly, which means your baby is born (usually early) without a big part of its brain and always stillborn. My friend Heather actually had this happen to TWO of her babies, Marshall and Jonah. Its extremely sad... here's a link...

No, no I KNOW you wouldn't put your baby in danger!! I didn't mean for that to come out accusingly at all. There are a lot of women that don't know they REALLY need it, I mean shoot, my first OB told me (when pregnant with Aidan) that if they made me sick just don't take them because there are a lot of women that don't and are fine. BAD Advice. Aidan had no birth defects or anything, but now I realize I was just luckY!

I don't know about the leaking milk (because I'm still BF.. so thats normal for me, LOL) But I totally agree about the folic acid... my friends doc told her that she could stop and just eat foods like lots of vitamins... such bad advice. YOu have to eat like 3 lbs of lentils or more to get enough folic acid. I HATE feeling crappy but I'll feel like crap my whole pregnancy if it means that I'll have a healthy baby, YKWIM?

It seems crazy early, but I could swear it happened to me a few times already too (when hanging in the house with a tshirt and no bra). I do take a lot of folic acid because it's two (800 in multivit, 400 extra separately). And i'm on Zofran now so feeling ok.
Good luck!
