Shocked over moon phases

yeah, I agree with ringo'sdrum, some cycles the moon phase can affect you and other cycles it won't affect you.  It's great if you're O date falls during the proper moon phase, but even then there are no guarantees.  I looked at the charts and analyzed moon phases.  I don't remember the exact numbers but there were more girls born to women who conceived in the new moon phase, HOWEVER, there were still plenty of girls born to moms who conceived in a full moon phase.  And even more so the other way around...it was close to equal on the boy charts...women trying to conceive boys the O'ed during the full moon and women trying to conceive boys that O'ed during the new moon had almost an equal amount of girls and boys...so go figure ;).

I will probably be O'ing during the FULL moon phase and am ttc'ing for a girl.  I am waiting until May to ttc because it will be nice and warm and will be using a TON of things to produce - ions.  I think that should cover it in the ion department.  If anything I"ll break even on the scales but I really feel I will be more on the - side of things.

Don't worry too much about the moon phases, just do things to counteract it

I still plan on paying attention to my pH during the moon phases. I just wish I conceived my ds in new moon so that I would feel better about this. I O at no set time so I don't know if I will or won't be in the right moon phase when I ttc.

In the article that was posted says that pH was lower in waning moon and more girls were conceived under a waning/no moon phase. I was looking on wiki and on the diagram it showed that the moon is waning during the full moon phase. So, I guess I am not sure what to think about the moon anymore.

I don't know if its right for me.My DD was conceived in last quarter of full moon.My LMP was 13/02/08 so i ovulated around 28feb -02 March and it was also winter in UK.But Chinese calendar was right.

When I looked at the attempts forum this is what I saw:

For the women ttc'ing for a girl: 

The women that tried under a FULL moon phase conceived more girls than boys.

The women that tried under a NEW moon phase also conceived more girls than boys.

To me this shows that moon phases don't really matter much at all, all of the other factors that these women were doing gave them a better chance at conceving a girl, so regardless of the moon phase they were O'ing in, more girls were conceived.

I really wouldn't worry about the moon phases, I think it is so far down the list of things to do when ttc'ing for a girl that it is not something you should concern yourself with at all.  You should ttc when you want to ttc.

That being said, I do think that you should START trying in the right season.  This is something you can control...if you end up not conceiving during the right season, then I think it's ok to keep on ttc'ing,...but you should start in the right season and not worry about the moon phase...just load up on - ions

I know that with my dd#2, the moon was waxing (in new moon), and the phase was Cancer, which is a female sign. I'm not sure

about dd#1 because it was 18 years ago, and she was a surprise:)  This time for ttc boy, I was ovulating in full moon phase, and

aries sign, which is masculine.  I supposedly didn't need to use ion corrections due to the phase, but I'm surrounded

by electronics anyway, and used a heating pad.... I guess we'll see in February whether the "moon phase" factor worked for me!
