Moms of lots of girls....

What kind of comments do you get about having girl from people who are trying to be postitive?

These are some that I have gotten:

Girls stay close to their moms when they grow up . (everyone says this)

If you get a son it *sounds* good to be able to say "I have a son" but there's no other benefit to having one. (from my SIL with one grown son, who doesn't want me to have more children; she's frustrated with her son because he's in his thirties and not married)

Girls treat their mothers well when they grow up. (from my SIL who is wealthy and bought every comfort for her mom--clothes, home, good food, etc etc.)

A couple with grown daughters will have a house full of good things to eat; a couple with grown sons will not because sons eat you out of house and home (from a lady with two grown sons; she was trying to be nice after my dd3 was born)

Be good to your daughters! Because when they grow up, they're the ones who will take care of you (from an old woman with two grown daughters; one of her daughters is rich and bought her a condo)

I myself can think of a million positives to having a boy. I just wish it was in the cards, oh well.

in my culture BOYS are blessing ,but girls NOT!!

not only in my culture even here in USA and also some girls I have seen in INGENDER they

just like to have boys not girls. I understand a lot of us wants both gender here ,but I also

saw many women wants ONLY boys. MOST of the people I know they want boys NOT girls

in my culture having 10 boys is wonderful and having two girls is TOO MUCH!!

Here is the comments I always here ''When you gonna have another baby?'' Oh I hope its

gonna be a boy this time! when I had my DD# 2 people didn't not even said congrats they

first thing they said ''I hope you get a boy next time''

My MIL has 6 boys and she thinks she's blessed!! she doesn't care if she doesn't have a girl.

She's happy with that because she always said GIRLS is harder to raise!!! 

I don't know ,but ever were I go it seems boys are better then girls.

aww, don't feel that way. I never wanted a boy and now I have 4!! I would give anything just to have one little girl! You are blessed to have 2, just like I am blessed to hae my 4 boys. Every child is a blessing, boy or girl. If you came here everyone would faen over your DDs. Whenever there a little girl in the room, its almost as my boys don't exist! :(

I know that I am having my boy now, but NOW we get the "Oh my, that will be one girly boy with all those girls!"

Wow I never considered it from the girl point of view ............people are so frightenely rude.

So if I get another boy then they will still keep on,if I get a girl I wonder what they will say?

My SIL has 4 girls, 3 of whom are a year apart and she ALWAYS gets this one.

My first was a boy and my second was a girl. So people would remark "good, now you can get your tubes tied." I have no clue why they think they personally getting to decide such things for me. I doubt I ever would have been happy with just 2 children, let alone just 1 daughter.

 

I am surrounded by people who prefer girls so I have never heard anyone having a girl getting remarks. But I don't know anyone who had several girls. At best, my sister had 2 girls. Outside of that, everyone I know, including cousins and such, had only 1 girl.

 

I should add, no  matter what, my dad makes the stupidest remarks about everything. I can barely talk to him. I told no one the gender this time even though I already know and have known for a month. Ok..I told friends, but not relatives.

 Yeah, most people don't know what to say.  They're either trying to compliment you but totally blow it or they are just speaking out their own warped gender issues.  Consider the source - most people who say the nice things are together people and vice versa.  I have slowly come to appreciate my daughter for who she is, and now when I am out in public I've noticed that I get a lot fewer negative comments and a lot more positive ones about her gender; I think it's because people think I have gotten what I wanted since I'm no longer wearing my despair on my sleeve.  Do I want a son next?  Hell yeah!  I've been reading the attempts section for boy swaying and plan on ttc this coming summer.  But we'll see; I'm not the type who gets her way, but here's to the hope.  I do find it amusing though when I (often!) run into women who'd love my lot yet have a make-up that I'd be so content with. 

 Some of the ones I got were-"Didn't you want a boy?"- "Why didn't you HAVE a boy?""How can you stand having 2 girls?" As if not getting to have a boy (or 2) wasn't bad enough, I had to endure that crap!

They are soooo beautiful!

I have 3 girls.  8 yrs, 2yrs, & 6 mths.  I am trying for a DS.. hoping I get a + soon.  The wait to find out if it's a DS or DD will be like the the wait of a lifetime.  My husband  always gets were you trying for a boy or a softball team lol or oh my you are out numbered.   All my girls are totally different personalities.  My oldest is such a girly girl.. My 2 year old will be like my boy if I don't have a DS..She's cute as a button but mean as a snake lol get's that from her daddy.  My youngest is just a great baby..loves to roll around and is spoiled rotten.  If  don't get my DS I'm dreaming of I will just have to wait & hope for a Grandson wayyyyyyyy lol  in the future.

They were probably jealous you had two girls.  Lots of women would love that. 

OHH boy, yea i get comments daily when i take out all my girls...I do have to say that i do get positive comments here and there...
