Heres my attempt pics using some plastic from a pen holder box to make a tube, which I wrapped some old tights around and put on the top of the sample

these are great photos! That's what mine looked like as well with real EW and SD.  Last night with our attempt I used liquid EW but...I think it got too liquidy with the incubator and the layers were not clearly defined after an hour.   I still took the top because it had a slightly different tint than the bottom, nervous about that.  I think tonight I'll go back to real EW.  We were going to try this morning but it didn't work out.

My only concern is-are the layers too defined?  Thanks for the pics!
