Has anyone had an elevated FSH just after m/c?

I've had two losses now.  One at 8 wks in July.  One at 4.5 wks (chemical) in early Feb.  After having two losses, I went to the RE to get checked out.  They did a Day 2 test last week (first period after chemical preg) and the RE said my FSH seemed slightly elevated but not to worry because the m/c might be affecting it.  He told me to come in again on Day 2 of the next cycle to see if it is back to normal.

I'd like to know if anyone has experience with a temporarily high FSH following a m/c.

Also, do you think I should really wait AGAIN or should we just try this cycle?  I just had an HSG, and I know this helps some women get pregnant.  This weekend is my window to try.  Do women with consistently high FSH have more miscarriages, so I should just wait around and see if I need help?

Ugh, so frustrated after DS was a 1 shot wonder.  Sad

Sorry to hear about your miscarriages.  That would be so hard.  I am not sure about the correlation between high FSH and miscarriages except that women with higher FSH levels tend to be women over 35 which alone gives you higher rates of miscarriage.  If it was me I would keep trying.  Your FSH can vary month to month so that may not be an issue for you.  What was your FSH if you don't mind telling.

Hi Michaela,

Thanks for responding.  My doc didn't tell me specific numbers, because he didn't want me to panic.  He told me this right after my hsg and said to do a Day 2 once more and then we'll sit down and talk about details.  Of course I'm sort of panicked anyway and disappointed that I have to wait another cycle.  I do think we'll try this cycle though and see what happens.
