CAUTION: do not take too many caffeine pills!!!!

 We had our attempt late last night. The attempt itself went ok but later was a disaster!

 my husband took 12  - 200 mg cafffeine pills (as advised on this site in a gold section post) at 9:30 pm.

At 2 am I was calling 911. An ambulance had to come get him. We did not get home from ER until 6 am.

This is 1/2 the amt that is lethal. It was awful!!!! And try explaining why your husband took 12 caffeine pills at 9:30 at night.

I am mad at myself for not using common sense and researching more. 12 pills of anything at once is insane! Our desire to conceive a son has made us put too much faith in something on the internet. We did not give details at the hospital but we were told that we should never do something from the internet.

 Right now I am sleep deprived. I need time to think.

BUT I do know that advice on here should not be said without knowing that someone out there might get hurt or even die.

I will never again jeopardize the life of someone I love for somthing I want.

Who knows what happened to the poor little spermies-probably exploded.

Beware of info on any website!!!!  Do not do anything extreme!!!!  - YOU COULD BE PUTTING YOUR HEALTH AT RISK!!!!!

((Hugs)) I am so happy your dh is ok.. and you are right.. we have to do what we think is best for our family and do our own reseach prior to do just taking someone elses advice.  What could be ok for someone else may not be ok for us or our loved ones.  I have had to cut out some of the things that seem REALLY important to sway for a girl because it just doesn't react well. 

But you are right... I am so happy your story didn't have a worse ending....

I DID NOT advise you to have your dh take 12 caffeine pills!!  I would never do that.  As I told you in gold, it was 12 alfalfa pills.  But you misread it several times.  Never would I tell someone to take more of a drug than what the bottle says. 

I truly am sorry your husband got so ill and I undertand how you feel.  ((((hugs)))

blue booties! found where the mistake occured,  It was a question that was suppose to go under alfalfa but the html got messed up.  I feel so bad  for you Farmfamily!  I guess I assume when people are taking a drug (not a supplment) theu will follow the drugs directions over my own stuid advice.  I wish I could go back in time and fix it !  Either way, I went to the warning post and added to always follow the directions of a drug over me.

You will find that you did in fact tell me 12 caff. pills is what your dh took on a couple occasions. I even asked you to confirm this info as I initially thought it might be a typo.

Obviously people take great stock in your advice and will sometimes do what seems to be extreme things to conceive.

Believe me I feel SO stupid for telling my husband this information and I do not know if I will forgive MYSELF for awhile.
