After bd'ing testing ph and using lime douche

Hi!

I have a question.

 You lower your ph with the lime douche 30 mins to 1 hour prior to bd .. checking before bd'ing to make sure your ph is 4 or 4.5 .

after bd'ing you check "your" ph to see what it is at.

my questions are :1)  are you checking for a combination of you and dh? how can you know the difference

2) you want to keep it at 4 - 4.5 as a combined .. .. would that not mean that you would have to be lower than 4 to get dh's to 4- 4.5?

sry for the confusion. I am so lost right now! any help would be great! thank you!

3) at what ph does all sperm die at? ( sry just thought of this one )

if you are below 4 all the spermies will die.  i think that's why the lime douche didn't work for me, my ph was right around 4.  so you want it to be 4-4.5 before bd, then 1/2 hour after, you check the ph of whatever's up there.  combination  and it will probably need to be brought down with more lime douche, because his ph is 7 or more.  (below 7 for dh and the sperm die)  after that, at least for me, it kindof stabilizes but you have to keep checking to make sure.  good luck, are your attempts coming up?

 ok. so.. if it is below 7 coming out of dh they will die.. but if you lower it afterwards to 4 - 4.5 then they wont die? as long as it isn't under 4!?! alrighty .. lol that helps!

right...  some people do tbm also, to bring semen ph down before it mingles with the egg...  that's in the faq - of course my dh looks at me as if i have three heads when i bring that up!!  i guess that way the combined ph would probably stay low.  the "normal" way though, you got it!

I was thinking of doing a ' version" of the tbm.. to do jump and dump and what comes out to do the splime and then put that back in for a bit? lol I dunno.. worried about the semen being too high in ph and not lowering enough for them to "freeze" the boy ones..
