I am with you!  Everyday I wonder what I should eat.

Today for breakfast I had a strawberry smoothie (milk yogurt and frozen strawberries)

Lunch Bread with butter(I know that this is not good but I did not have much sodium) and an egg

    Supper - Fish, rice

and egg nog for dessert (love sweets so I have to have something to curb that)

I had glasses of milk throughout the today total of probably 4

Not sure if this helps as it is fairly boring

breakfast: kefir with cranberries and puffs cereal

lunch: omlette made with eggs, onions, and low fat swiss cheese; youghurt; glass of milk

dinner: green beans, leeks sauteed unsalted butter and with thyme & turmeric ; small piece of grilled chicken. Cucumbers with little red pepper pieces mixed with mint and sauce made of youghurt and kefir.milk again and youghurt as desert...and strawberry preserve.

I used more sugar this month as previous which is not good but at least Ph is low now.. my hormones I think are not right I think I have too much testosterone since I have some pimples. I will probably cut sugar completely in the next days before O.

    HI there,

Bronte here... I had 1 Shredded Wheat for breakfast (made by Uncle Toys with 100% wheat and NO salt)  topped with organic yogurt and a very high calcium milk + glass of milk

For lunch I had 2 slices of salt free bread (bought especially from the health food shop it has NO salt..yes it tastes like cardboard but hey..when you are hungry LOL.... toasted with salt free butter and salt free red salmon and a glass of milk.

Afternoon tea ..tub of yogurt with wheat germ in it..when you put this in yogurt it tastes like crushed biscuit ..yum!! AND/OR Matzo crackers which I found and are TOTALLY salt free jewish cracker with salt free butter and a GREAT cranberry/blueberry jam made by St Dalflour with NIL sodium!! OR I grab an apple!!

Dinner either grilled chicken/pork with salt free pasta on it's own or with a little cream OR poached egg on salt free bread.

I have also been having 1.5 litres of Evian water a day (expensive I know) all my supps and making sure I have 3/4 glasses of high calcium milk a day!

Very boring I know but hey this is my sixth week and I have lost 4 kilos!!!

LOVE to hear some other recipes..I have to say I am being VERY VERY strict with my self and also I am having a hot Roasted Dandelion drink which is a coffee substitute .... caffeine free and the odd herbal tea!

    Good luck to all

Bronte (mum to an awesome foursome of boys)

Now when i want to get creative I have homemade thin-crust PIZZA (100% girl friendly)

Pizza Dough: (enough for 3-4 12" thin crust pizzas)

    4 c flour (usually 50% Whole Wheat)

    1 tsp yeast

    1 Tbsp Olive Oil

    1.5-1.75 c warm water

    1 tsp sugar

    --------------------------------------

    Pizza Sauce:

2 Tbsp Tomato Paste (= 30 mg Na)

    2 Tbsp Hot Water

Oregano, Thyme, Dried Onion and other salt-free herbs

or you can put on a homemade salt-free alfredo sauce made with butter, flour, milk, garlic and salt-free herbs

    Toppings:

    Sliced Red Pepper

    Canned Pineapple

    Sliced Onion

    Sliced Cooked unsalted chicken breast

    Asparagus

Bocconcini Mozzarella Balls (50-100 g sliced...one of the lowest sodium cheeses around at 36 mg NA per 50 g ball)

Bake @ 450F for 30 min on pizza stone for thin crust pizza

Then I make a small desert pizza with butter, sliced pear or apple, cinnamon, and dusted with sugar & flour....yummy!

Re: On the GIRL DIET? Stop by and tell us what you ate today.

I'm not on the girl diet as pregnant with girl No.3 but am a perpetual dieter!!  Anyway, I thought I'd throw my 5cents in as this is what I pretty much eat every day (except when I'm pg and it's nothing but potatoes, pasta and chocolate!).  I'm definitely no "girl diet" expert but this is what worked for me....(and when reading in back it's NO WONDER I ended up with 3 princesses!)

    Breakfast

1-2 cups of frozen strawberries and raspberries with 150gms greek yoghurt or 2 poached eggs.

    Lunch

Salad with grilled chicken breast, asparagus, 1 poached egg

    Dinner

130gms of chicken (sometimes lamb, beef etc).. either herbed on the BBQ or in curry with yoghurt etc.  Veges normally beans, salad (lettuce cucumber etc) asparagus.

Drinks.... I had 2-3 glasses cranberry juice (lite - no sugar added but with aspartamine).  I added ground flaxseeds, ginger, nutmeg and lime juice so not sure if these are allowed?? + 8 glasses of water.

breakfast - none, unless a folic acid tablet counts

lunch - pasta with white sauce

dinner - green salad with creamy dressing and a cup of plain yogurt for dessert.

I did have a couple of cookies that my son made sometime in there between lunch and dinner - yesterday was not my strictest day on the girl diet!

This website is in the FAQ forum but I just discovered it a while ago. I remember trying to open the link and it wouldn't open up and I finally opened it up a while back. I thought I'd post it again in case other people have overlooked it too.
