Hi all,  I have been on here for awhile now, but never posted.  I knew I should not have taken this test.  I took it at 10 weeks and got the results back saying GIRL.  We already have a DD and were sooooo hoping for a boy this time.  I feel horrible and am already trying to prep myself for our u/s and the GIRL news.  The minute we found out we were preg the RUDE gender comments started and the pressure to have a son.

Anyway - Intelligender (no more reliable) says BOY.... but TMPOB came back GIRL.

Anyone get a GIRL result and it was WRONG???  Seems most people on here got incorrect boy results.  Just curious.  Thanks!

TMPOB has been proven to be a complete SCAM!! They were wrong for me and many other women on this forum. They are correct half of the time and they still make a ton of money off pregnant women. You could very well be pregnant with a boy.

I got a wrong boy result, but there have been many women on here (one in particular got several) wrong girl results.  Just a scam.   Have you tired doing a search on this forum looking for wrong girl results?

I asked the same question you did when I got my girl result. In my case I truly wanted a girl and wanted confirmation that is WAS correct. I only found one (two at the most) women who had a girl result be incorrect. Mine, fortunately was correct. I am having a girl! I even called and had them reassure me a girl result was correct. They were so sure they sent me another test for free. That too, said girl. My u/s at 16 and 20 weeks confirmed it!

I think these tests are a complete waste of money and potentially heart breaking, either giving false hope, or breaking hope.  You definitely have a chance of this still being  your boy!

Hi there,

I was just interested to know why you took TMPOB when from your previous posts it appears you did PGD? Just curious.

Thanks!

Country Belle- I only did IVF with ICSI. I didn't do PGD. I wanted a girl so bad I couldn't wait until my u/s to find out the gender. I would have done anything to know as early as possibleHappy

they were right for me (i wanted them to be wrong).

they actually have a good track record of being right- about 94% so there is 5-6% chance of being wrong. saying that, you may have tested a bit too early, as test depends on finding Y chromosome dna- if none is there, then computer says girl- but fetal dna doesn't appear in large enough quantities into the mother's bloodstream unitl at least 11 wks- so as i say, it  may be a boy- maybe persuade them to retest you in a few weeks? gl
