I just saw this message this morning...I came on last night, but very briefly as we got pounded by the storm.  It was BAD--but we loved every second of it as usual.  The rain floaded our yard and knocked down the kids yard swing and pushed their bikes all over the backyard--but the grass looks beautifully GREEN :)

My MIL and dad were flying into Phoenix last night and they were kept up in the air (somewhere) and flew around just wasting time for almost 2 hours because of the storm.  They did not land until almost 1 in the morning, so it was a late night.

Well, justr as with the rest of my kids, she's pretty stubborn and not coming anytime quickly.  I really want her here by Sunday at midnight, but I am not seeing that happen.  I've been using the breast pump and NOTHING!!!  I still walk 40 minutes a day and NOTHING.  I even been dtd and NOTHING.  I'm gonna see about getting a pineapple today and eating the whole stankin' thing.

I need all the suggestions possible to help her on her way out.  My time is running out.  And even if I were not to worry about the school cutoff date, it be so much easier and less stressful to have her while my MIL is here, then I wouldn't have to worry about finding someone to watch the older kids.  MIL leave monday evening...

Sarah- So did you not end up getting your membranes stripped then?  Honestly, that plus sex are the only things that seemed to get things moving the best for me.  I was hoping something would work for you so I can try it in 4 months.  I've heard walking up stairs might help, I know it always makes me have Braxton Hicks bad already.  If you are desperate maybe castor oil?  I've never had the guts to do that.  But I did try a greasy pizza, spicy hot wing, tropical fruit combination that really got my bowels moving...maybe the same effect?  Good luck this weekend!  Sending you ~labor vibes!~  Hey my labor vibes are good, it's worked 2 times in a row now already!

I saw this on A Baby Story the other day.  It was either 2 tsp or 2 Tbsp of castor oil, scoop of vanilla ice cream and OJ--blend.  She went into labor that night, but I'm not sure how far along she was so maybe she was just ready.  Can't hurt to try I guess.  Her MW swears it was the drink that sent her into labor.

    mommyem:

Sarah- So did you not end up getting your membranes stripped then?

Okay, so at 37w0d I had an appointment, but unfortunately it was with an NP, and the one I really don't care much for.  She attempted to strip my membranes but said she had trouble getting into my cervix to do it, but said she was able to stretch me to 3cm.  I knew immediately that it would do NOTHING for putting me into labor.  Although I did lose my mucus plug the next day followed by intense pressure of the baby on my rectum for the whole weekend.  I was miserable.

At 37w5d (this past monday) I had another appointment and I was going back and forth as to whether or not to have my membranes stripped again.  This time it was with MY Ob and I knew if he did the procedure, he would do it "correctly" but since I was unsure about doing it (because I did test GBS+ again) I went in with the idea that if he offered to do it, I would do it...if he didn't and I had to request than I was going to take it as a sign that I should NOT have it done...so it didn't happen.  And I feel good about that decision, but now I'm feeling the pressure of having this baby while the help (my MIL) is here for the weekend.
