OK, I am in the 2ww but I am fairly sure I will be ttc DD next month as I think my splime got too low and killed all DH's sperm .  So I have been doing research this morning and decided I was going to use a diva or instead cup to help ttc chances.  Before I make a purchase I have a question; Equipment List Post lists the Diva Cup is better for ttc girl, but I have read lately in some posts of women ttc girl used the instead cups and got a girl???  I understand why the diva is better for ttc G, but it is more expensive than the instead cups.  Probable because it's reusable?  Anyway, I am second guessing myself and what to get, I should still buy the diva right???

Also for TBM, do you put the splime in cup and insert or with medicine dropper then insert cup to keep them in there? 

One last thing, after you insert you keep checking PH of splime in cup keeping it at 4.5 or so every 30 min for 4 hours???  From what I understand this is pretty important when you use one because PH tends to go up at the 1 hour mark.  What do you add to bring PH back down, more lime or a lime/water mix?

I used the instead because it was easily accessible (I knew where to get it) and I only came up with the idea the day my DH and I started to bd that cycle! 

Common wisdom dictates the diva is better for ttcp, so if you can get it, it's probably best to stick with that. 

Thanks!  I went ahead and ordered the diva cup just in case.  They sell the instead cups here too, but not the diva, so since I have time, I just ordered it online, hope I won't need it!

yes diva is better for ttc a girl.  I got a diva and an instead because I LOVE them for af.

No put the splime in the cup then incert the cup

It won't kill off all the sperm if you put in something that's pH 2? 

no because lime pH climbs fast
