Why have a break in the cal/mag diet after 6+ months?

Recommended daily calcium intake for females is 1200mg, the calcium intake in the cal/mag diet to ttc a girl is 1500mg.

    1) What is the purpose of having a break in the cal/mag diet after 6+ months if the target dose is so close to the recommended one?

    2) Do you think it still makes sense to have a break after 6+ months if taking liquid high - absorption calcium?

    3) If yes, is 2-3 weeks enough for such break?

    Thanks everyone !

because it isn't just about cal/mag but also potassium and sodium.  If you dont alow a break you will get sick

    2) Do you think it still makes sense to have a break after 6+ months if taking liquid high - absorption calcium?

yes because you need to get more potassium and sodium during the break

    3) If yes, is 2-3 weeks enough for such break?

    yup 2 weeks is enough

New question - Do you mean one can get sick if she doesn't replenish potassium and sodium in her system within this 2 week break?

    4) why break for 2 weeks and not more or less, any supporting information on that, studies? sorry for being anal, really curious...

well this area is a little fuzzy in the studies.  I go with 2 weeks because you have time to replenish the body but then you have to take 6 weeks to stat the diet back up so you out ttc for 8 weeks.  2 week break is what i have found that people wont get sick doing where as less than 2 weeks they feel ill sooner next time.  You can take a longer break if you want
