So I was just wondering....... I know when OPKs have equal color on both lines it indicates Ovulation but when there two lines, though not equal, does it mean impending O so keep testing or is is just like an evap line and means nothing. I have always wondered this and then today it happened so I thought I would see if anyone knows anything about this. Thanks a bunch!

Do you mean the lines are not the same size? If they are the same color then it is a positive I believe.

For me, I will always have at least a light line, but as it gets closer to O, my line does get darker. I usually know that when it does, the next time I test it will be +

Yes, this is true too. If you have two lines and one side of the line is as dark as the test line, it is +
Thanks guys. No they are the same lines but different colors. One is light and the other is dark. The reason I ask is that last month it was stark white until the day I got a dark opk and today I have one light and one dark. I just wasnt sure if it indicated that I should keep checking today or if it wasnt anything. Soooo confusing these little sticks!
They are confusing. That is why you need the clearblue digitals. You either get an O if it is negative or a if it is positive. No guess work.
Keep testing. Sometimes even just 4 hours will make a difference. I had a faint 2nd line on CD 9, but it didn't get +until CD 12. What CD are you on? I know it is annoying using a bunch of sticks but you don't want to miss it. ONe time I had a faint then 12 hours later it was stark white! Talk about confusing! I'd say if you are a little on the early side then you haven't O'd yet and you will soon! HTH. Keep watching your CM and CP too.

Oh DUH---- I just saw that you're on day 9. Yep....keep checking----maybe on CD 11?
Thanks--yeah I figured CD9 was too early but I figured I'd check since you never know I just wondered if a slight line meant anything. Like why you would have one at all if O wasnt anywhere near? I am positive there is an explanation but.....I am not the best on science related issues Thanks so much for your help.
The control line is SUPPOSED to be equal or superior in color intensity for it to be considered positive, BUT in reality this is not always the case. They can be very deceptive depending on the brand and I know people who have missed their surge trying to make sure the control line was darker. MY SUGGESTION is to use CBE digital smiley face opk's this eliminates user error and "dye ambiguity!" :)
