I don't think that picture screams GIRL at all.
I'm just waiting to see what Gwen Stefani has since she already has a boy....probably a girl.
ETA: When I first saw her name at the post I thought, "Oh no, she lost the baby".....so I'm glad it wasn't that post.

BeebsNBubbs:Who cares about celebrities?? Seriously
this is exactly my thought...i'm not related to them, i don't even know them...they have no impact on my life what so ever...so i could really care less what gender baby they have.
I agree with the poster that said it is pretty much 50/50. I think that gd makes you see what you want to see. before i had my dd i would notice all the baby girls...it was like radar...
Sorry, I know I'm lame, but I've always been a People-reading celebrity watcher, got it from my mom, and now that I have no friends with kids, no hobbies, and basically no life, and there are those websites out there like CBB that make it easy for a busy mom like me to catch up with Hollywood, I'm like more involved than ever. Okay back when I had only one DS and every celeb that had a girl after a boy gave me hope, not okay now that every pink celebuspawn has me seeing green.
And see, you would notice all the baby girls before you had your dd, well, I still don't have my dd, so I naturally notice all the girls. But I know it's not just my imagination, all the heavily-covered pgs and babies have been girls in '08 except for Xtina.

I just don't understand the celebrity craze. i like to read about them too but i just do not take it personally.

this sentence has got me thinking. We know that alot of celebs have boys...but for some reason those boys do not hit the newstands as hard as the girls do...do you think this is the magazine peoples way of selling magazines...it has been said on several occasions that American society tends to favor girl babies. I just wonder if this was China or India if we would hear more about every single boy baby???? Just food for thought

alligus:Matt McCoughnahay just had a boy
Oh, I was going to post him as I just bought a new Celebrity guff mag & he must be famous as he's in it. I know these mags are technically rubbish,a waste of cash & not exactly value as I've read thru them in 10 minutes! But like a PP I have little else to do at the moment apart from trying to keep a lively toddler under control & mow the lawn, wahey, sure I used to have a life
- Anyway, who is Matt McCougnahay?!

I think it's a GD thing! - I wasn't the slightest bit interested in who had what with who, well maybe a bit, but I wasn't 'upset' by it till I got GD, it didn't get me affect me like it does now..
I saw a pic of Cate Blanchett having had DS 3 & I nearly ripped the magazine up - I don't even know the woman & I'm not likely to but I just felt so envious & 'Its not fair!' at that moment, just after my U/S scan hadn't 'gone to plan'.
I did like the photos of Victoria Beckham being drunk tho, it's nice to see her looking 'normal'!

Sure, GD can contribute to some things sticking out to you more, BUT the big cover stories are often about famous young women who are single--or, like Ashlee, Halle Berry and Lily Taylor (who, really, to me are more of the "older moms like Nicole Kidman get DDs" rule of thumb), Sofia Coppola, Jennifer Garner, Katie Holmes, Nicole R, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jamie-Lynn Spears, and Jessica Alba, were single *when they got knocked up* even if married by the time of the birth. Those pregnancies are bigger "news" to tabloids, less expected than someone like Christina Aguilera turning up pregnant 18 months after a big wedding. THEY all had girls, as predicted by studies that show that oopsie pregnancies between couples who don't live together are more likely to be girls. (Sorry, I'm not fishing around for the link today.) That's how I predicted wedded-bliss Xtina would have a boy and Nicole Ritchie would have a girl. It's not 100%, but it sure seems to be better than 50%! Try it! Everytime I think Gwen Stefani will have a girl and have the pigeon pair, I remember this and think that she, like Britney, will be having a little boy.
WWP
P.S. I keep returning to edit it as I remember more single-pregnancy celebs who had girls.

The last 'boy' birth that I can remember getting the cover of people was when Patrick Dempsy's wife had twin boys... anyone remember anything more recent??
