This is the crib and canopy we set up for our DD. Please let me know if you think its pretty :) The walls look blue but are actually, a pretty royal purple with a Disney princess wallpaper boarder all the way around :)

Sorry but 100% against Pillow,  bumper and quilt in cot for the first few months. SIDS is a huge issue. May look cute but not worth going against every SIDS no no.

The items in the crib are just for decoration purposes. I will not have any bumper pads or blanket in her crib when she is sleeping in it. I know it looks like a pillow, but its actually a headboard bumper pad. I am a nurse and and very cautious when it comes to SIDS.

cool cool! So glad, a friend lost her baby to SIDS and its something we  have little control over, but what we do im all for. Wasn't meaning to have a go.

Her room is gorgeous, she is going to be one very happy little girl :D

SIDS is such a terrible thing. I also have close friends who have lost children to SIDS. One lady actually had her baby sleep in bed with her and woke to find her baby had passed away at 6 weeks old. That is why I am so against co-sleeping :)  DH and I just want her to be as safe and comfy as possible. I did use bumper pads in both my boys cribs but I did read that bumper pads can contribute to SIDS so I decided not to use them this time when my baby is sleeping in her crib :)

Oooooh - I LOVE that rich, purple color.  Very pretty!  I also like the canopy -- I never thought of doing that over a crib, but it sure dolls up the crib set!

I love the canopy and the colour is very similar to one that I've used in my little boys room thought it is probably a tad bluer it the colour is so peaceful.
